I am also using PCSX2 1.4.0 vanilla right now.
I understand it being a laptop I probably shouldn't bother, heating, etc(I don't NEED to use it for PS2 emulation, just convenient), but am curious.

What would be your opinion on my laptop running other PS2 games? Should I stick to PS1?
I don't emulate PS2 so I wouldn't know from personal experience tbh. Some games like the one you asked about are very demanding, but there are others that aren't so much.
Wii emulation is a similar story afaik.
No problem. Must have just been VP2 glitching because FFXII IZJS runs perfectly on high settings and doesn't even strain my system with heat. :)
