watched death sport last night it wasn't what I was expecting but that may have been due to me mistaking it for another movie. it turned out to be pretty good I'm not really a fan of Carradine but he was good in this(though he looked like he aged 20 years from the last movie I seen him in which was only 3-4 years prior to this one)
also watched lazer blast aside from a glaringly huge plot hole and what felt like a rushed ending it was a little better than I expected it to be.
on the subject of movies, what is the deal with sci-fi there's very few movies(from the 60's-80's) that take place in space. most of what I've seen is all post apocalypse(not that all of them were bad) it's been a 20+ year obsession like super hero movies over the last 10 years.
rant over I have Alien to look forward to.
do you guys know what the last best version of dolphin that still supports older windows is?
I didn't have any trouble with v5-10943 in my limited play. You'd have to trudge around to find the latest stable for W7 if they've killed support for it.
You can also just use good old Dolphin 5.0. 7 years old now but I don't think I've ever really ran into any problems with it.
okay. I grabbed the 5.0 from their website since I didn't see anything newer that still supports old oses. I don't plan on using it yet I'm still playing dysmantle. the dlc really made this game huge though I'm a bit disappointed that uniforms aren't upgradeable like headgear, weapons ect.
I had a hell of a time getting through the last boss fight of the doomsday dlc I barely made it though that fight I also managed to finally solve a block pushing puzzle that I couldn't solve before :)
Windows 7 was great. Windows 10 isn't that bad, just disable all the spying stuff as much as you can. You'll also have greater access to newer software if your computer hardware supports win 10.
Not sure what his current HW is. There's always Linux too.
A 4770k and a GT720 (which showed up as something else in GPUZ if I remember right). With a more powerful video card there might be a handful of examples but .
watched alien it was a solid movie. one thing I noticed is it looks like they used some old star wars ship set pieces (mostly the upper corridors)
a warning for anyone that wants to watch it that has epilepsy there's a lot of flashing and strobe lights (particularly towards the end) it was even starting to hurt my eyes.
maybe for "AAA" games but I haven't seen too many that have I9 requirements most have been I5 and I7
I did look into hdd recently but I may have been looking at standard sata drives not ssd drives. from what I remember WD blue drives were running $35 for 500gb

For SATA SSDs I think it's down to Crucial and Samsung if you want DRAM (consistent performance).
For simplicity's sake I'd get a drive of the same or larger capacity so that you can image your current drive and copy it to the new one without having to fiddle with partition sizes.
Still one helluva leap over a core2duo.
the samsung evo 870 500gb model is nicely priced at $39.99 that would match the 500gb I'm currently using
very much
I'm amazed I was able to do anything with that under powered amd pos
Performance is probably about the same as the MX500 since you're limited by SATA performance. I wish that manufacturers would migrate SAS into the mainstream or push a new SATA revision -_-. Indeed, it did okay for what it is. Intel equivalents would be just as bad, likely worse on the integrated graphics performance.
Really was not a fan at all of how TIGHT the famicom to nes adapter gripped the carts. Ended up getting a solid deal on a modded US top loader for $110.
You can get a 1TB SSD for not too much money.
watched battle beyond the stars. that movie hit the spot it was fun, it had everything a good sci-fi movie should. space ships, space travel, aliens and lasers oh and talking computers :)
finished the last of the dlc for dysmantle the rewards were a bit lackluster the rewards may have been more useful much earlier in the game(and some should have been part of the base game) but they just weren't useful to me. I'm not saying the dlc was bad(except for having to activate useable devices to kill one particular type of enemy) the map itself was huge almost too big for just three dedicated areas(technically 4)the only boss was a complete pushover once I activated the device I had him dead in 3-4 power hits I don't even remember getting hit.
well now I can move on to something else I'm planning on checking out metro 2033 now, I "should" be able to run it without problems but we'll see
Resolution>=AFx16/8>Textures (>= if you have enough memory)>Shadows, lighting, other effects>Dumb post processing effects
The hierarchy .
not much in the way of gfx adjustment options in metro. it runs well enough but still a bit slow even on low settings understandably so with all that's being rendered on screen(npcs, lights, smoke ect)
the game is proving to be harder than I expected and I basically just got started.
Got back from the hematologist.
Now I have 2 blood clots in my leg. Wtf??!!
Someone get a shotgun and blow my damn leg off please.
D:
:Tidus:
watched escape from NY. kinda meh I was expecting more action.
metro is really proving to be difficult and not really in a bs way either(like call of juarez the cartel god I hated that game) I managed to get through the first surface trip in moscow now I have to rescue my partner or get through a bandit controlled area
I'm not really sure. I'm also having trouble deciding whether to swap one of my current guns for the ak my revolving shot gun is the only one that doesn't have mods.
I was never a big fan of the Metro games. Tried a couple but fizzled out not too far in. Not bad at fps games but not good either. Think DL likes those games :thot:
