Nope, I saw it was too short and not really worth the money. I'm only interested in Year of the Snake if it gets discounted.

I'm surprised it hasn't gone on sale yet to be honest. I agree with your previous statement about SD being better than GTAIV - now don't get me wrong, I love GTA, but to me Sleeping Dogs felt more like an old school brawler. I loved getting into fights, and I liked how the game didn't focus on guns really (other than shooting from cars really, and some action scenes). I think that's why I really got a kick out of the Zodiac Tourney - it was all brawling, and pretty tough actually.
Finished Guacamelee! last night. I still have to 100% my current file, but I think I finished the game at around 80%, so there isn't that much I have left to find. Then, Hard Mode, which I'm hearing is rather difficult.
[ edit ] Just went through and finished that file 100%. The boss was much, much easier the second time around. :lol Going to start up my Hard playthrough later today, and that will be that. :]
I beat harvest moon 3d: tale of two towns...although I can pay my rent, I still only have enough cash to buy no games.
Not sure if it really counts, but I want to make a post. Don't hate me bro!
I beat Dodonpachi Resurrection on novice mode 3 times earlier on. These Japanese bullet hell shooters are insane, that is all.
I've not played resurrection, but I really enjoyed Donpachi and DoDonpachi. They are pretty wild shooters, that's for sure.
I beat a couple games on the NES and TG16 over the last couple days - Jackal and Life Force on NES, and then Salamander and Super Star Soldier on TG16. All such quick games.... none took more than 20 minutes
Guacamelee! :platinum:
Great game. If you're a fan of the metroidvania genre, it's worth checking this one out. It's not a huge game by any means, but it's spaced out enough and requires just enough navigation that it feels larger than it actually is. There are enough moves that you can start to generate favoured combos, but unfortunately not enough to really expand beyond a few simple power hits and some mid-air juggling. The more difficult fights usually turn into a dodge fest while you either wait for your opening to get a couple hits in, or try and corral the enemies into a corner and lay waste to all of them at the same time (not as easy as it sounds at times).
The only real mark against this game is it's length. It's too short. I played through twice, once to just beat the game (then some exploration afterwards to find everything and get the alternate ending), then once more on Hard Mode. My first playthrough was something like six hours, then another two hours (I think) to 100% the game. Hard Mode was 3:33. Once you know where everything is, you can very quickly race through this game. The only trouble will be a couple of the bosses, and a few of the later "arena" matches. Otherwise, game is remarkably easy, and you can skip large sections of it if you don't feel like fighting the enemies.
However, for $14.99, it's well worth the price.
:prada:Hurray !:prada:
I Finally beat Lunar Silver Star Story Complete !
Now off to beat Valkyria Chronicles :top:
Labyrinth Legends 100%
Nifty little game, but there really isn't that much content in here of note. I love the idea behind the game, but the puzzles never get very complex and you can never perform more than your two standard moves, which get very repetitive against swarms of enemies that are meant to overwhelm you. With the exception of a couple of bosses, there isn't anything that you can't defeat by blocking and using your spin attack repeatedly. Kind of takes the fun out of it.
There's a multiplayer component to the game, but I haven't touched it yet and I don't think I'm going to.
Bioshock: Infinite on hard.
'Twas alright.
LittleBigPlanet Karting :platinum:
Found a boosting partner on PS3T and managed to get my last trophy this afternoon. Never again will I be touching this game. >.> The SP is great, but the online is fucking broken, which makes for a frustrating multiplayer experience.
Etrian Odyssey II. On to III.
Never knew there was an addon/expansion or whatever for galactic battlegrounds - just finished up the extra 2 campaigns for it. Not bad at all. Love those old Starwars RTS games :top:
Just got done with Sonic Colors. "no copyright law in the universe will stop me":wav: And Sonic 4 Episode II! :D
I just finished Bioshock Infinite on normal. Repetitive gameplay, but good story. Will probably never play it again.
Just beat Ultimate Alliance. Despite the fact that it was the PC (beaten this so many times for 360 and PS2 it's not funny) version I opted to not mod the game (after spending almost as much time exploring options to do so) and used the normal Avengers team of Thor, Cap, Carol and Ironman. I primarily used Thor because well he's Thor :D Godspeed and his Hammer throw is a real killer, threw in his lightning chain for an elemental power and as a finisher. Next up with hard mode unlocked I'm rather stumped as to a team. Been thinking of the following which of course only maybe Cookie may care - characters don't really matter of course because I can just add them. God bless PC games!!!!
Following team ideas..
#1. X-men Blue team consisting of any four of the following: Cyclops, Jubilee, Rogue, Gambit, Beast, Psylocke(multiple mods for this including Revanche etc..) Wolverine, whoever else.
#2. A space bound team consisting of any of the following: Surfer, Nova, Thanos, Mar-vell, Ms marvel, Super Skrull, etc..
#3. A girl team consisting of any of the following: Jubilee, Rahne, Magma, Betsy, Moonstar etc..
#4. A bruiser team consisting of any of the following: Thing, Hulk, Thor, Juggs, Hercules, Cage, etc..
#5. And finally a DC team of the major DC heroes like - Supes, Batman, Wonderwoman, Lobo, Manhunter, Robin etc..
All are viable and modable I just can't decide.
After a long battle of months, yesterday I finally beat three games in the same night: Wrecking Crew (no quick save), Final Fantasy VI and Castlevania Lamment of Innocence. I had nightmares that night.
Dragon Fantasy: Book I - Ogden's Story.
Spoiler warning:
So I beat Kara no Shoujo, true ending and all that. All the feels. T___T
...
Time to read the sequel!
Dead Island :platinum:
I went ahead and completed the online portion of the game before there's less people playing it and the solo DLC. As far as the story goes, and without spoiling anything, I found the DLC to be more interesting than the game itself..
Beat Luigi's Mansion for the first time, ever. :lol
100%'d it too.
Beat Ratchet and Clank: Crack in Time. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
I love almost everything about that game except for the boss battle. I felt the final fight gave the boss too much health, and it really turned into a bore while you waited for your attacks to hurt him ever so slightly. Him and the other guy (can't remember his name) that you can fight on the ship in the post-game after you collect all of the ______ (God I've forgotten so many of their names :ahhh: ) are absolute bullet sponges, and it ruins the fun. I'd rather have a more frantic fight where I'm being attacked directly, rather than dodging attacks by rote and unloading all of my weapons at him.
Personal opinion. I just hate bullet sponge enemies. It's one of my personal pet peeves in a game.
Dude, I totally agree - Nefarious was pretty easy, and was just fine as a final boss fight, but the evil Lombax and that asshole post credits were just ignorant. The Lombax took me a few tries, but I actually didn't beat the post credit guy - I got so pissed off that I just gave up. I did play the game on Hard, so that probably made it more annoying, but I could get him down to about 20% health, but never seal the deal. I faced him about 12 times, and that was probably about 11 too many, haha.
I'll tell you another ignorant part, the final Arena challenge on the second championship. 20 waves then 2 nasty bosses?? Ugh.....
I did finish that though, but man, that almost made me want to toss a controller a few times.
I still loved the game though - I had a lot of fun with it!
Fuck, I had to leave the game for a day during that final Arena challenge. >.> I think I almost punched the screen at some points.
The final final boss took me far too long to beat. I think I finally tackled him after completely upgrading everything, and even that was probably a 30 minute fight. Ah well. Still loved that game. I kind of hope Tools of Destruction gets trophy support some day, but I know it'll ever happen. :(
Aww, no trophy support on ToD? I didn't even realize that, lol. I just barely started the game and decided to give my Vita a little love for a change. I don't typically go for platinums, but I always enjoy getting trophies along the way
Btw, it's nuts that you have over 60 Platinums.... I think I have 5 maybe - two of them were from easy games (GoW3 and Infamous 2), and the other 3 are from MGS2, 3 and 4 which were all more than a little irritating to get
I don't have a life. It makes accumulating :platinum:s quite easy. Also, the vast majority of the games out there aren't hard to get, you just need to commit the time.
And unfortunately Tools of Destruction came out before trophies were mandatory. It's a shame, I would love an excuse to go back and dig through every corner of that universe again. Maybe one day I'll replay all of the R&C games.
Also, just finished all episodes of Dragon Fantasy: Book I 100%
Speaking of non-trophy games, the one that really pisses me off is Valkyria Chronicles. It came out well after trophies were established, but it didn't have any... and much like the original Uncharted, it had ingame achievements, so I would assume it would be easy to translate them to real trophies. Anyway, I beat that game 6 ways from Sunday over the years, and nothing to show for it.
I have that sitting unopened on my shelf still, waiting for me to play it. God I need to clear out some of these games. :lol
There are a few that I'm kind of disappointed never got trophies. Tools of Destruction, Oblivion, Valyria Chronicles, Resistance 1... probably more. I'm glad MGS4 finally got trophies a few months ago. :top:
MGS4 was a bear to get the plat for. To me, it was totally worth it because I think I love MGS more than life itself  Hot Shots Golf doesn't have any trophies either and I've completed that game fully - Holes in One, scores of -30, etc. I beat the dick off that game
Sonic Generations 100% :D
LoZ: PHantom Hourglass.
Not the first Zelda I owned, but the first one I actually beat. (I did get rather Far In Links awakening tho)
I BEATED DEMON SOULS!
What a game. Did get to the point where the enemies were harder than the actual bosses. Still a very fun game and should still be playing to get that :platinum: :)
Star Trek. Inferno should play it only because its an easy GS booster :P
