Huh? Is it better that I don't understand this?
My DS is the crimson/black model. Also known as "the sexy version for true gentlemen of refined taste".
Also, I think I'll have to start 999 one of these days. My brother keeps going on and on about it. And being the curmudgeon that he is, if a game truly impresses him, it must be really fucking good.
My wife seems to be having a ball with it. She said that she got the 'bad ending' last night, and her 'arm was chopped off' - ?!
That black DS you see in the picture there is the Pokemon version. It has a broken hinge and wont power on. :( Hoping I can send it off to someone for a fix-job...
Love the avatar, btw....reminds me of an anime version of Storm....:shades:
Shardnax, Its not, man. I grabbed it for $5 about two weeks ago from a kid that said he had 'dropped it a couple times', soooo...
Hell, I'm sure that someone can do something with it, there is a lot of talent around here...
In regards to the shell colors, yeah.....my buddies used to bust my balls when I would bring the pink one in to work now and again, heh...
Also, there's always room for ladies in my statements. You of all people should know how well I treat females. It involves Garrett and a blackjack.
Yes, that sounds pretty much perfect. Ray saves the day once again.
I'm...not quite sure.
:lol
^_^
Repairing a broken hinge is exceedingly simple to do on your own, you just need a couple tiny little screw drivers and some replacement housing.
The lack of powering on, however, could have a variety of causes. Some simple, some not so.
I kinda miss my old fat DS. :P
Who's got a Gameboy Micro here?
^ For sure. As far as 'simple', though, not for me...my hands are like baseball mitts...not really the 'fine detail' sort. :(
I wont be the one taking it apart, thats for sure. Worse case scenerio, I end up with a cool $5 'DS paperweight', so what the hell, eh? :4x:
I wont abandon hope until I have spoken with a few folks about it....
Magnetic help, indeed, but no way in hell....those little "guts" scare me....
It powers ON, FAST, and then straight OFF again. I can see a tiny patch on the left hinge where (what looks like?) copper backing/foil is poking through.... :(
I can take detailed pics of the affected area....or at least as 'detailed' as my 5-year-old camera will display....
I have discovered the joy that is FFV :<3:
Also just a stab in the dark here but does anyone have a save for Paper Mario? Mine got corrupted and my progress is lost, I was getting pretty far. Just at the beginning of chapter 6.
Final Fantasy? No?
I have some of those games...various systems...one is in a tin/metal box....very lovely...
Never played 'Paper Mario'. Love the Mario games, I'll give it a go....
I'll tell you, that Luigi game that Big N showed during the last show looked g-r-e-a-t.....
What you're seeing sounds like the ribbon cable from the lower screen. And if the screen(s) flash white when you try to power it on, it's probably just that the ribbon cable has slipped loose and needs to be reattached.
And, of course, that stupid cable is the most obnoxious part.
Since we are in console mood, here's the shelf behind me.
Spoiler warning:
The rest of the collection is in my bro's room.
ok ok ill throw in Ivolts Kidneys too you drive a hard bargin
Played Mass Effect 2 all afternoon. Took a break to eat supper.
Ran into the same problem with the fight between Jack and Miranda. Then I can go through the Omega 4 relay.Spoiler warning:
Not that Jack is important either, of course.
Decisions matter. RIIIIIIGHT.

I approve of Battlefield 3 online. Shits all over Modern Warfare 3.
