Pretty much. The spoiler tag is frequently used to hide important plot details, but we also tend to use it to resize posts so they don't take up half the page.

My wife seems to be having a ball with it. She said that she got the 'bad ending' last night, and her 'arm was chopped off' - ?!

That black DS you see in the picture there is the Pokemon version. It has a broken hinge and wont power on. :( Hoping I can send it off to someone for a fix-job...

My first DS was the crimson/black. There seems to be no room for ladies in that statement. ;_;

Shardnax, Its not, man. I grabbed it for $5 about two weeks ago from a kid that said he had 'dropped it a couple times', soooo...

Hell, I'm sure that someone can do something with it, there is a lot of talent around here...

In regards to the shell colors, yeah.....my buddies used to bust my balls when I would bring the pink one in to work now and again, heh...

Repairing a broken hinge is exceedingly simple to do on your own, you just need a couple tiny little screw drivers and some replacement housing.

The lack of powering on, however, could have a variety of causes. Some simple, some not so.

I kinda miss my old fat DS. :P

Is there any response at all when you try to power it on? Could be that one of the screens isn't connected properly, or it could be a blown fuse, among other things. :shrug:

It powers ON, FAST, and then straight OFF again. I can see a tiny patch on the left hinge where (what looks like?) copper backing/foil is poking through.... :(

I can take detailed pics of the affected area....or at least as 'detailed' as my 5-year-old camera will display....

What you're seeing sounds like the ribbon cable from the lower screen. And if the screen(s) flash white when you try to power it on, it's probably just that the ribbon cable has slipped loose and needs to be reattached.

And, of course, that stupid cable is the most obnoxious part. :sweat:

Hm. I've done my fair share of DS repair for my own system and for my siblings'. But it's been at least a year since I worked on one or read about any of it, and without seeing it I can't be terribly sure what's going on unfortunately. :shrug:

Ran into the same problem with the fight between Jack and Miranda.

The options were shown where I could break it up without choosing sides...but they were greyed out so I couldn't select them. I lost Jack's loyalty. I figured Miranda would be more important in ME3 anyway.

All I have left is getting the IFF, Legion, and Samara and Legion's loyalty missions.

Then I can go through the Omega 4 relay.
