Charity Muggers You know the people who come up to you on a street ask you to donate for a charity and won't take no for an answer.
Ahh, I see, we get quite a few of those. I'm in the process of coming up with some witty replies so they leave me alone e.g. a man asks for donations for starving children, and I say all that talk of starving has made me hungry and walk off. My brother has a good one for people who ask "have you got any spare change for the bus?" His reply "It's ok I'll walk"
Are they armed or what's stopping you from punching them in the face and run around them?
Dunno, wish I could punch them, half of them are from organisations half of them are just beggars, some of which have such outlandash stories about how for example they father has terminal cancer and they need to get a train to the next town, and all they need is the price of a 4 pack of beer to get there
I know. :P It's universal I guess, in downtown you gotta keep your eyes open in case some guy ambushes you asking you for donations. They set their eyes on you and that's it, they're gonna chase you, fucking annoying.Quote:
Just very persistent that's all.
Oh, and my girlfriend lives kinda close to train tracks, and you wouldn't believe the amount of immigrants from Honduras and El Salvador that get off the trains and lurk around to gather money to 'continue their journey to the USA'.
Yeah, no.
Tass your avatar is brilliant. :lol
I know, is that the singer of AFI?
It's Richmond from the IT crowd.
Yeah, I dunno where I heard it from, but only something like 10% actually makes it to the people who need it.
Yep, I actually see a new one or two every year, while others seem to dissapear. I tend to think that they just died. Almost sad, but they do it to themselves.
Post.

Why wait for it to be aired?
Seen a Nissan Skyline on my way back from the hair dressers. :(
Unavailable in your area. Figures. :P
You could get a UK proxy and watch it there or on youtube but it would be much easier to just download it.
I heard it's about that although for local charities I think the chances of it helping somebody are much greater.
Well if they're able to scam you for it who knows what else they would do for the money so you can only have so much sympathy.
