I've found it gets MUCH better in the latter half, though. The trick is to pay A LOT Of attention to what rings you have equipped, and what skills you have. Oh, I was mostly talking about that one mission where you have to reach the other end of the map with all characters. Except enemies keep spawning infinitely at the end of the map. So 3 of my dudes went through, and my last character was pretty much stuck between all the respawning enemies blocking the path and couldn't move further.

The difficulty is harsh but like you said it's always been doable with the right tactics/rings/etc. I've had the most problem with enemy casters nuking my shit, in fact many missions were basically a test of how fast you can snipe enemy mages before they destroy you. :wacko:

Hm, I never used potions, actually. I find that Heal (more powerful version of Cure) + Cycle Up (reduces casting time) works just fine. And Frayne has a shitton of mana so I never run out. I find that Cycle Up in general is actually super overpowered, but the game kinda expects you to use it, otherwise you'll die before you can finish casting your shit.

Oh and leveling up isn't a problem. I have a cheat code that gives an XP multiplier so I just use that when I need it. :wacko:

All in all I still like the game a lot, aside from some wtf missions.

Haven't really played any RPGs as of late. I picked up Fallout: NV Ultimate for basically free recently. Though I have yet to start it. I've mainly been playing GTAV to be honest. Though I really need to get back to playing Ni No Kuni and finally finish that game. :nod:

It's a pretty sweet JRPG by the awesome company that is Level 5 teamed up with Studio Ghibli. That alone should make you want to play it. ;P It's not really like any game in particular. It has free-roaming battles with a kind of ATB style combat. It has monster breeding, item crafting, an awesome soundtrack, memorable characters, great story, and incredible graphics. I think it's the best JRPG to come out in a long time IMO. You should definitely try it out if you have the chance. :nod:

Not really, I'm in the process of playing Cave Story and the Tales game on PSP in english.

I last played Cave Story about 2 weeks ago for 20 minutes. I played Tales for about 40 minutes roughly 6 days ago. I just get bored really fast playing games.

Thats a shame, i kinda have a low attention span with games now too i guess from getting old and life gets very dreary .......

But I did beat a few of the Tales games, good fun with there, love the battle systems.

Pretty much what happened to me although I probably should try to make my mind think of it as practice, but I feel I would receive better practice possibly by getting my grammar to a decent level then finding an online community that wouldn't kill me for not being a native speaker. Hopefully make a few native friends on that site. I enjoy Japanese music more than anything I guess. I can listen to specific Vocaloid songs or Jpop bands for hours just reading subtitles and looking at the kanji attempting to decipher it's use.

Thanks, I've been thinking about it for weeks and looked up different combinations and it's been bothering me. It's a song that was released recently and just left me so confused when I tried to translate it/find out it's meaning, my friend came to the conclusion from combing a few of the parts that it could of been something like daydream, but he did that using Jisho without knowing any Japanese.

Thanks, it was really tricky to try to find out myself! I'm pretty glad you could decipher it. It was pretty bothersome not knowing what the title of the song is when it was actually pretty decent. Then I remembered there's at least 2 people here who could figure it out in a heartbeat, guess I was right! :P
