You'd rather torture yourself with a game that makes you want to kill yourself just for a silly trophy?I mean, I hate leaving games unfinished too but there's a limit to everything.
On the bright side it's going to feel amazing when you finish. You can shout "fuck this gaaaaaame" and throw the disc into the sun.
I just played that crap
wonderful game a couple months ago. The worst is when you have to keep tactically inompetent suicidal retards alive.
I've found it gets MUCH better in the latter half, though. The trick is to pay A LOT Of attention to what rings you have equipped, and what skills you have. Some of them really counterbalance the difficulty (putting Dash on Crev and, uh. . . whats'er'name --y'know, the busty one-- with some strong attack skills can mop up most maps in seconds. Also, DO NOT waste time on healing spells. Keep a full stock of potions, and interrupt whatever your least important character is doing to apply them liberally as needed.
And the big game breaking trick: blessing bells. They reduce your level by, I think, 10, while keeping your stats, so that character levels up exponentially faster. You'll have to google to find out where all you can find them (I know I stole a bunch from bosses and the arena), but they're worth the time to seek out, since some maps really EXPECT you to power-level.
My plans exactly.
It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't require three playthroughs because someone didn't bother to make difficulty trophies stackable. Now it feels like a punishment. I still have to beat the fucking thing on Hard mode, too. Which I might hold off on. We'll see.

I'm not somebody to talk in Japanese with, really. I have IME disabled because for some damn reason it will spontaneously change to Japanese when I'm editing English documents--and one-kana-at-a-time in Tagaini Jisho is a damn pain. . .and my Japanese is very low-level, so I'm too self-conscious to use it other than as a joke.![]()
*redons +1 Cloak of Lurking*
Oh, I was mostly talking about that one mission where you have to reach the other end of the map with all characters. Except enemies keep spawning infinitely at the end of the map. So 3 of my dudes went through, and my last character was pretty much stuck between all the respawning enemies blocking the path and couldn't move further.
The difficulty is harsh but like you said it's always been doable with the right tactics/rings/etc. I've had the most problem with enemy casters nuking my shit, in fact many missions were basically a test of how fast you can snipe enemy mages before they destroy you.![]()
Hm, I never used potions, actually. I find that Heal (more powerful version of Cure) + Cycle Up (reduces casting time) works just fine. And Frayne has a shitton of mana so I never run out. I find that Cycle Up in general is actually super overpowered, but the game kinda expects you to use it, otherwise you'll die before you can finish casting your shit.
Oh and leveling up isn't a problem. I have a cheat code that gives an XP multiplier so I just use that when I need it.
All in all I still like the game a lot, aside from some wtf missions.
That's every female character. But I assume you meant Eliza.
