The AI was always ridiculous in the old MK games, the arcade versions I mean. You'd choose the lowest difficulty and get maybe three or four matches in before the computer decided it was going to default to Very Hard and urinate on your shoes while giggling and staring sweetly at you.
MK was practically the poster boy for fucktarded AI. SNK may have had cheaper bosses but no-one had standard opponents as aggravating as those produced by Midway.
