I told myself when I was younger that if I ever learned Japanese, I'd play so many import games and watch so much raw anime. Now here I am, and I barely use my Japanese at all. ^^;;; I feel so wasteful~

I feel the same with Spanish. Learned two years worth of school taught Spanish in one year, barely even read in Spanish anymore. I kind of feel bad about that.

Um... well I do, but not in the way I expected to. I speak to my tutors and friends pretty much every day in Japanese, and I read novels in the language. But in terms of games / anime / movies / manga? Not reaaaaally. :'D Like a couple a year~

Does it get annoying when processing said language when you're tired now, or is it second nature?

I love Greek mythology. Especially modernizations of it. I'm reading the Percy Jackson series now because of that fact.

If it's "Jiru" in Japanese, "Jil" or "Jill" is most likely, though they'd probably avoid the second because... uh... it's a girls' name in English. ^^;;; "Gil" works, but only if it's a J sound at the start and not read like the name of that guy from The Simpsons. Of course it's quite possible that they just changed the name to something that works better in English. ^^;;;

Yeah, I have lots. ^^;;; I always feel guilty speaking to them in Japanese when they're here though, as they're supposed to be here to learn English. ^_^ Some of us agreed that we'd speak English on British soil and Japanese on Japanese soil. :'D

Pretty much second nature. It doesn't feel foreign to me anymore so much as just a language I don't speak quite as well as I speak English. ^^;;; Of course there are still words that I don't know and sentences that confuse me from time to time, but I don't get mentally exhausted reading Japanese in the same way that I used to.

though most of his friends are female... makes me kinda worry. He seems to be the type that flaps the wings quickly. :'D

I don't think Japanese is so much harder than a European language. ^^;;; There are bits that are more difficult, but there are bits that are much easier as well. You should be proud of the level you've attained in English. I'll be happy if I'm that good at Japanese someday~
