Question -- Has anyone gotten 100% of the Riddler challenges in AA?
I should probably look at what time it is and if anyone is actually around before asking questions.
I'm working on it at the moment, and I wonder if there are any bugs with the secrets maps. I picked up the one for the medical center, and have gotten all the question marks except for one. This particular one is floating around to the east of the patient observation room, in the black area out of the map boundaries. I've even looked up a walkthrough to see all the secrets for that room, and there's nothing I've missed. I don't know why there's a question mark in such a random place.
If you'll excuse me, I'm going to continue the zombie struggle for about an hour and a half. Night, if you go to bed before I return
You know considering where they were that episode just didn't live up to the standard of the older specials like in America or Vietnam, I mean they are in the middle east and that episode could have been so much better, it was still great however. I guess top gear has just ran it's course now.
Your last name starts with a B doesn't it?
There was a conversation on IRC about this a few months ago, I think you said your last name.
I can sum it all up in one word: Complacency. Guitar Hero is now a "brand name", and is practically pre-sold as soon as it's released. It seems for this installment, more focus is placed on star-power (Narration by Gene Simmons, part of the story based on Rush's 2112) than on gameplay.
I'm a bit of a GH cork-sniffer/purist... I say the series kinda started downhill after GH2. I used to like the in-jokes on the loading screen in the first two games... to get some of 'em, you'd have to know musicians and their quirks and habits ("Never let the drummer handle the money." Truth! :lol ). The "making-of" vids in the unlock shop were pretty cool too... of course, that's when they still used studio musicians to record a soundtrack for GH games. Now they just license the actual tracks for play. :bore:
Also, I see on Wikipedia that Soundgarden's Telephantasm album shipped with the early units of GH:WOR, reaching platinum status from sales of the game alone. How about that? I wonder how many copies of that CD were cast aside by kids who just wanted to play the game? Oh well... a Platinum disc looks great on your wall, no matter how you got it.
(No disrespect to Soundgarden, by the way... I just think an album should stand on it's own merits, rather than ride to platinum status on the coat-tails of a megabrand.)
EDIT: Geez, Rockstar, cynical much? This is why I should avoid posting before bed... tired and b*tchy. :lol
Yep, point stands true, more when you realize that the Rock Band crew are the same that left the GH brand to rot after 2 and went on doing a highly successful franchise. :P Heck, they didn't have anything to do with Rock the 80's.
I think that what I liked from GH5 was that they left the whole "OHHH SO FUCKING METAL AND I'M A 12 YO KID" to favour a more "all music is good" approach, and that's why I find that game enjoyable, not a masterpiece, but something I don't mind playing.
But then, they got into the WOOHOO WARRIORS OF FUCKING METAL WITH SONGS FOR TOUGH MEN WITH ATREYU AND DETHLOCK, WITH FUCKING MANLY METAL REM AND WHITE STRIPES thing and...well, I gave it a chance, that was my mistake. At least they improved the vocals a little, but everything after RB3 feels like disgusting crap. :3
Backreading is a welcome escape from trying to fix other peoples' computers.
And I'm not one of them. I'm feeling so neglected. :(
I started when we all started doing the IRC thing. Because bitches be changing their nicknames every 10 seconds.

For me, it's kind of the opposite. I had intended to watch a few things and then I cried and decided against it when Prude felt the need to use it as her theme.
I personally like the Objection! site. You can make the screen with most of the attorneys, and add their theme song if you want.
It's a sad day when I have to bust out a grenade launcher for lowly zombies. (Because I really don't want to use molotovs since I might need those for leech people and the room has more zombies than 15 handgun shots can take out...)
Is falseparadise still around?
Well, it seems the suscription emails are working again.

Last post, Christmas day, by Tan.
Well, it seems brother has turned on his torrents, this seems like a hint that I should get to sleep since I won't be able to use the internet for anything more demanding than a 56k-like connection.
I really should be fucking off. Gotta drive to Conroe tomorrow for a going away party type thing. I probably won't though, no desire to drive.
It would seem that I should rerun through the train (I'm doing rather poorly ammo-wise). So I leave it up to you guys: Should I just delete the original vids and start over or leave those vids and add a note about why I may have more items/ammo when I restore the thread?
I wasn't aware of the whole personnel shift from GH to Rock Band after GH2, but it makes perfect sense. Guitar hero 3 had a totally different feel to it, and I thought Rock the 80's wasn't really worth a mention.... still fun when you've got people over to play, but that's about all.
I'm not really a heavy metal guy, either... I like some of it (mostly the classic metal like Sabbath and Deep Purple), but not all. Gotta say, tho... "OHHH SO FUCKING METAL AND I'M A 12 YO KID"... I honestly lol'd when I read that! :lmao: I actually wound up trying to teach guitar to some of those 12 year old kids when I worked for my local music shop. I also had to deal with their youthful angst when they couldn't make those heavy "Guitar Hero" sounds come out of the $100 Strat copy that their mom bought 'em.
Good to know I'm not the only one who notices this... also good to know I'm not the only one who compares actual six-stringing to the layout of notes on Guitar Hero and Rock Band. My pals (who don't play guitar) used to give me a lot of static for wanting to compare playing an instrument to playing a game.
I always thought the programmers on guitar games where the layout feels natural must have actually been guitar players, or they ask for input from guitar players. This was part of what hooked me when I played the first two GH games. It was sorta like playing the songs with a band, only I didn't get that "oh sh*t" feeling if I dropped a note!
You in a band too, RetroSnake? Cool! :top: What kind of music do you guys do?
True on both counts... I'm also my band's lead singer. We're a trio, so it doesn't leave a lot of room for mistakes, sadly. :-/ However, it forces me to keep my chops up, which is good, 'cause I tend to be lazy. :lol
Well, think I'd better hit the hay. 4AM here, and lots to do tomorrow. Good chattin' with ya... 'Night all. :bed:
You know, I've have falseparadise in my bookmarks just in case the site goes down.
I forgot that.
I spent like, the entire time the site was down looking for the site.
Also, I have to shovel again. We may actually have a foot of snow.
