Go here and input the konami code.
Heh. I'm trying to 1CC it, so amplify the pain and annoyance when I would normally just be able to continue. I beat the game on the standard settings (a fairly harsh 3 continues) awhile ago, but 1CC'ing is gonna be a bizzzzitch.
It depends on the game I suppose, I think anyone could beat most, because most offer infinite continues but there are exceptions obviously like Mars Matrix.
Unrelated: I'm surprised at the reviews Fury Road is getting.
I muted the voices in Arc Rise.

I think Japanese voice work has been declining lately but maybe I'm just crazy.
I forgot how much of a handful kittens are. ^^;;; My girlfriend and I decided to adopt one a couple of weeks ago, and now my hands and arms are covered in scratches and I haven't slept properly in days. :'D I turned on the electric blanket and put him under the duvet on my lap, though, and now he's sound asleep. Too cute, and so worth all the scratches and sleepless nights. ^_^
On the subject of dogs my family got a Samoyed puppy last November and now she is growing and she is massive, well for us considering we've only ever had small dogs, nice natured dog, not remotely violent and does not attack our hens, a little bit too afraid though.
Honestly better off that way. I think you know a dub is bad when you'd rather have no voices at all. :'D I would have muted the voices in most PS1 era RPGs too had I had the option.
Haven't really played enough modern games to say, to be honest. ^^;;; I do find a lot of modern anime voice work annoying now that you mention it. Though that could have as much to do with subject matter and the types of characters that are popular as the voice work itself, given that a lot of the actors are the same as they were during the 90s.
Yeah, I think that's my problem as well. I hate continuing in SHMUPS, and usually just quit after one credit. Even though continue spamming is usually the best way to get to know a SHMUP quickly, and the quickest way to get good enough to 1CC a game. ^^;;;
Me too! Pleasantly surprised, mind. Always liked the original series, and looking forward to it now. ^^;;;
KITTTTTTTTTENSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SSSSSSSSSS
I recently saved an older stray. He has stuck around outside so I am feeding him. I can't go out there without being rammed in the leg. Pretty sure he is quite old.
Ikr? Not many dubs get me to that point tbqh.
As far as voicing goes, it's pretty hit and miss for me. I think in general Tales of Hearts R was very lazy/cheap but that was a game that annoyed me recently. Oreshika has actually been pretty decent. I'm not really fit to judge this of course. My system is...does this va'ing annoy me or not. Lol.
My cousin's dog was like that too. Absolutely giant and terrifying to those who didn't know her, but actually the soppiest, sweetest thing you could ever meet. ^^;;; Maybe I've just been meeting the wrong little dogs, but I've always preferred big dogs to little dogs myself.
Larger dogs don't have smallmandog syndrome thankfully. :wacko: It would be nice if she didn't run upstairs and under someone's bed when people arrive.
Also could someone who is proficient in moonrunes translate this please: http://mbstore.bigcartel.com/product/shadow-of-colossus
I wouldn't buy it at that price but it looks nice.
I thought as much, thanks.
I don't really like dogs, but that sounds cute.
If I had a million dollars..
I would hire half a dozen midgets to dress as classic Oompa Loompas and go out for a night of drinking around town and general mayhem!
This has been a Zalamoment.
How about get a new computer first :wacko:
Bought 41 new steam game...
Damn bundles.
Once upon a time....
THE END!
(Proceeds to drink heavily)
Kittens! We called him Mochi because he's just this little squishy lump of fur. He looks like a rice cake. ^^;;; He's super-cute, but still at the age where he's a little agent of chaos. And that's really sweet of you! ^^;;; I always feed strays when I come across them too. I even did it in Japan at the risk of being evicted from my dormitory, as we were explicitly told not to. :P
Yeah, nowadays, in particular, I think it's really rare for English dubs to be that bad. The odd Chaos Wars or Arc Rise Fantasia aside, English dubbing work has been pretty consistently good since midway through the PS2 era, as far as I've heard. Unfortunately that rise in quality pretty much coincided with the time that I stopped playing games in English. I suffered through all of the abysmal English dubs of the 90s and early 2000s, and then just as companies started putting more effort into their dubs of Japanese games, I began to move away from playing English dubs. Not the best timing ever. :'D
Haven't played Hearts, but Tales as a series has always toed the line between being endearingly shounen anime and suffocatingly so, and I think that's reflected in the voice work too. ^^;;; Felt the same way about Rebirth as you do about Hearts, really. Though to be fair, in Rebirth's case it actually kind of crossed beyond being so mediocre and generic that it's bad into so mediocre and generic that it's kind of awesome territory. Veigue is simultaneously the best and worst Tales protagonist ever. :wacko:
And I think you're fit to judge irrespective of whether or not you speak Japanese. Maybe it's difficult unless you speak the language to appreciate specific nuances of a performance and to rate just how good it is, but when a performance is outright bad or phoned in, I think it's pretty obvious regardless of whether or not you speak the language. :P
Sounds adorable. =^.^=
Did you know the English dub for Arc Rise was done in Japan? Weird but true. Explains a lot.
And yeah early US dubbing was pretty bad, but it's passable now. Now English va'ing in US/EU games, especially big games, has generally been pretty damn good and for the most part I've had no problems.
I hear ya with Tales. I have a love/hate relationship with the series. It feels like every game is the same shell with slightly different components, if that makes sense. By no means my favourite JRPG series but most of them are playable. I finished Hearts R but it was probably the worst Tales game I've played in terms of just...well everything really.
Wanna finish this last assignment and start making some games as soon as possible. waku waku
