Error - My favourite animated show of the last five years: Adventure Time!! Love the animation and the characters, and viewed through the eyes of an adult, I can really dig-on a lot of the cool underpinnings....great for little ones, as well...ages 1-100, that show..:<3:
Transformers? I was aware of it...had many buddies that dug it...not my scene, though...not really into robos...

if they remade the He-Man/She-Ra series as a Manga/anime with a more badass theme, better animation, better writing, and a darker undertone (and do something about those names for gods sake, geez they're bad) they would have a potential for a very good series.

GSB - I actually agree, and MOTU is a very beloved property for me. (I mean, come ON; even at 8-years-old I saw the absurdity of some of the names: 'RamMan', 'Buzz-Off', etc...heh...remember, though, they were marketed to little ones, so..) They apparently are doing a new film, in more of a LOTR style, so...
Also, this 'dark tone' you mention, the Mike Young company did that, sort of, back in 2002....great series, that new one. It actually had continuity, and they really fleshed-out the characters.
