In Eye of the Beholder, Fighter is usually best first in the party to tank for the ones behind them in the party. However a thief first is good to pick locks and avoid traps a Fighter would set off. A halfling Fighter/Thief is tanky and agile in light armor or heavy armor and should be first in the party. Then a gnome Cleric/Thief to fill in as rogue if first one croaks and resurrects the halfling or the two Fighter/Mage elf archers behind using archery and magic behind them arcanely.Quote:
