On one hand... I should probably attempt to sleep tonight, because Goober is going to wake me up relatively early tomorrow morning. At least, earlier than I usually get up on a day off.
On the other hand... I'm wide awake and just got a copy of the first season of Carnivale, which I've been dying to see.

I was doing fine for my first couple of days off. Fell asleep around 1AM, woke up around 10AM (which, trust me, is good for me). Last night I fell asleep around 4AM, woke up around 1PM. It's currently 1:20AM, and my son usually wakes up around 8:30AM. If I'm really lucky, he might sleep in until 9:30AM... but that's the latest I'm going to get.
The postman needs to get here with my things, hopefully he won't keep my games for himself this time.
Yeah that "mechanically separated" stuff is pretty shite. Had a whole roasted turkey breast from the grocer's tonight for dinner, it was pretty good. :]
How have you been? Are you currently on break from school? Everyone around here currently is, although it's a short one.
Also, these posts have been posted sitting in a recliner, with my laptop on my son's table, staring at a 42" plasma TV about two feet away from my.
My eyes, they burn so good.
Really tired and cold, seems like it'd be the perfect time to go back to sleep for 6 hours. But I must not!
Also, since I'm assuming you aren't bothering to backread, Milady, I posted a pic of my son earlier today to show my progress of turning him into a gamer.

I be so proud. :]
I'm known to respond to voicemails around 12 hours after they were left in the first place. Especially since I don't wake up until around 1:30-2:00pm myself when I don't have to be in class or at the hospital. That's when my boyfriend's clock goes off so he can get up for work.
I laugh at this discussion about sleep patterns.

I've had trouble sleeping since I was little, and I've always been more energetic and productive in the evening hours. With my boyfriend's current work schedule, I'm usually cooking/eating dinner around 10 or 11, then staying awake until he goes to bed. It's almost 5:00 in the morning, but even if he goes to sleep right now, he can get about eight hours of sleep.
The problems happen when I need to be up at 6:00 to work eight hours without pay. ;_;

POW, BITCH!!!
:hump: ?
I'm the same way, minus the relationship and the working-for-free. I find I'm exhausted around 6PM every day, and have every intention of going to sleep at a reasonable hour, but as soon as the sun goes down I'm wide awake. I've always had trouble sleeping, though -- either I would take forever to fall asleep when I was younger, or I actually would fall asleep but wake up around 3AM and not be able to go back to sleep, and just slip downstairs to play video games or watch cartoons. (That's when The Super Mario Bros. Super Show was on for me. :]).
Now, without working a set schedule, I find that I can't keep a set sleeping pattern. Either I don't work until 1PM and stay up a little bit late the night before (which will be what happens for my shift on Wednesday), or I work at 8AM and end up going to work with about 3 hours sleep (which will be what happens for my shift on Thursday). Or I'll end up having four days off in a row (like right now) with no reason to wake up early, and just end up fucking everything up.
My cat just came through to see me, but she got really spooked out by my laptop charger. Almost had a heart attack and jumped back when I went to stroke her and has now went back where she came from.
I hate when cats get spooked out so easily. :low:
While sitting two feet away.
... that actually sounds like a grand idea.
Wouldn't be the creepiest thing that's ever happened to me. :P
Hell, if you ever find one, I'll pay you for it to have you ship it out here. Would totally be worth it.
Yeah, I usually just have an issue falling asleep in the first place. I generally go to bed 30-60 minutes before the time I actually want to be asleep by, because it takes that long for me to fall asleep, sometimes even if I'm dead tired. Amusingly enough, all I have to do is visit my mother for a few days to get into a pattern of falling asleep around 12:00-1:00 and waking up around 7:00-8:00, since I have a little brother there who wakes up relatively early. But after a few days of being back home I get back into my more nocturnal habits. It would be great if I could get a second shift job at the hospital, 3-11, but I don't think that's going to happen.
