The test centres recommend at least 20 hours with an instructor before you take your test.
It isn't worth learning to drive from someone that drives properly, you'll pick up too many bad habits. Might as well learn how to drive "their way" from an instructor. Then drive "your way"/"the proper way" once you have passed your test. :D

Lesson went relatively OK. He had a go at me for sitting in a junction when there was a car about 50 metres away on the right. I couldn't see for shit what was coming on the left however, but he sat there telling me "YOU CAN BE THROUGH." "STILL COULD'VE BEEN THROUGH" three times in a SERIOUS voice with a look of "SON I AM DISAPPOINT" on his face.
I couldn't see a fucking thing on the left, so if I went out, I'd have blocked the right hand side of the road if there was a car on the left. Silly prick.
Overall my lesson was "alright" and I shouldn't have any issues with my test. Damn right I won't, cunt.
