Sure , when you’re 11 years old playing it at evening , seeing little things stabbing the man in a dark ally with nowhere to run , it sure did.

and i dont think it came out on ps2, could be wrong though
I recommend Silverfall (PC), I'm hooked.
ummm can someone suggest a game ( that I can find a ROM for ) That is on the NES. I already has a couple good games ( bubble bobble, jackal, castlevania, ninja gaiden, double dragon) but I'm bored so I need more. Any genre will be fine as long as the game is good.
Also, Bionic Commando. Best NES game ever.
Hell, best game ever, in general.
Everyone with a DS needs to get Chou Soujuu Mecha MG. It's cheap, too. Only $24.90 at Play-Asia (and still full-price everywhere else). I just got my copy today and it's amazing.
Tekken 5 & FFIV Best games for the ps2. Also if you have a ps3 and you don't get tekken 6 I will eat you.
You're trying too hard. :P
I do agree with you though. Tekken 5 was a great game. :D
havnt played the first zoe but the second runner was awsome just a bit short
Mini-bump.=p
I'm torn between Yoshi's Island DS and .dothack.Gu Volume 1 (I think that's the name). And on top of that, Mario Party 8 is coming out. It sucks not having a job. T_T
Yoshi's Island DS. .hack G/U is just another lameass generic RPG with emo characters and a contrived, predictable plot.
I don't get to play games often enough to care, so I'm easy to please. I'd probably agree with you if I played a lot more RPGs. And I'm also a big fan of action RPGs. But I also love Yoshi.... I need more info for my decision!!
Pc games, the best you've played, that don't need a great graphics card. More favourably, games that do not need high-end computers. Oldish-games and such. Yeah, like Starcraft (just an example), it's got good graphics and could run on a 90mhz processor. Anything would do, as long as it was fun. :) Any suggestions?
Fallout, Baldur's Gate or Planescape: Torment for old, but good RPGs. Then there's the tons of old adventure games like Monkey Island, Full Throttle, Discworld, or Gabriel Knight: one could go on forever, since the genre was really popular back then.
I've played through Red Alert, Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge, much fun.Same for Half-life. I think I have Dune 2000 somewhere around. I think I'll skip Rollercoaster Tycoon and Dungeon Keeper for now.
Thanks for the suggestions, though. :]
I was thinking about getting those three RPGs, and decided about getting Baldur's gate first. I'm not really a fan of the adventure genre though. Problem is the shops around here don't hold any good games. Will get Baldur's gate though (Maybe in a month). Fortunately, I have Starcraft to keep me entertained till then. I was thinking of getting "Planescape: Torment" but the fact that it's got 5 CDs will make it pretty difficult to acquire here. Much thanks for the suggestions. :)
Deus Ex, Red Faction, Alien vs Predator, Incredible Machine (puzzle game), Diablo, The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall (second game in the series), maybe Morrowind, it's not too expensive, not sure how non-great non-great is for you :P.
Max Payne 1.
Clive Barker's Undying (needs a 32 MB video card).
I would recommend Hitman 2: Silent Assassin over Codename 47 any day.
System Shock 1 and 2! SS2 is by far one of the scariest games ever made.
Hm.... I can think of some more in a bit.
Has anyone ever played any of the Journeyman Project series?
Click here if you don't know what I'm talking about.
Since I don't think it's very well known, it's gonna be impossible to find here. Thanks, though.
Played Diablo 2 and Max Payne. Will think about getting Deus Ex and maybe even Hitman 2 after I get Planescape :)
Yeah? That's good, cos I decided to get Planescape instead of Baldur's gate, cause the latter is "currently unavailable", (over here, that means it's going to be impossible to find.)
Played through Frozen Throne. I think I'll skip Sacred, though. Diablo 2 gave me enough pointing and clicking.:P
Well I'm fixed on Planescape for now, Much thanks to everyone =)
Hey all, I've been looking for some good lesser known horror games for PS, N64, Xbox, or PC. Thanks!
Since you're saying lesser known, Resident Evil and Silent Hill should be out of the picture, correct? Have you played the D games? If not, you need to give them a try. Not many people seem to be familiar with them, so that is a worthy mention here. Other than that, Fatal Frame is worth at least a try, on your Xbox. I am sure others have more suggestions :)
Well, I've got some suggestions, all for PC.
Missing. (free to download here) This game is almost as shocking, mysterious and interesting as the Silent Hill series. Highly recommended, and not just for those who like adventure games. The story and atmosphere is worth it for everyone else.
The White Chamber. (also free to download) Another adventure game, kinda depressing, with a pretty good story.
Penumbra: Overture Well, this one isn't free to download, but there's a demo on the official site, which is worth trying. Pretty scary game, with nice graphics that adds a lot to the whole 'you're alone in the dark' feeling, and good physics/interaction with the environment. Check the screenshots to see what I mean.
I've played the White Chamber, and heard of Penumbra, but Missing sounds great!
Well, I hope you'll enjoy Missing as much as I did. And play it at night, it's so much better that way. Only bad thing about it is that it's very short, it takes only a few hours to complete, and can easily be finished in one sitting.
Call of Cthulhu, The Suffering (not really that unknown :P), Fiend (2d freeware game made by the people behind Penumbra), The original Alien Vs. Predator (no seriously. It'll fuck you up), System Shock 2, Clive Barker's Undying (a really fantastic game, seriously). Get DOSBox for your PC, and Alone in the dark, I have no Mouth and I Must SCream, Gabriel Knight 1 (GK 2 and 3 run fine without an emulator).
Also, Shadowman (Available on PC, PS, and N64. PC version's the best).
Clock Tower (SNES, PS)
Sweet Home (NES, in japanese but an english fan translation rom patch is easy to find)
Thanks very much for the suggestions, Jetsetlemming, I've never actually played those games, but I've got some old copies of all but Call of Cthulhu and Sweet Home. Missing was great, Gare!
Sorry for the extra post, but just wanted to thank you for the suggestions, and I just grabbed a copy of Sweet Home and Call of Ctlhulhu from a friend. Sorry to ask some more, but now I'm looking for some lesser know 2d rpg's, on Genesis, SNES, N64, PS, or PC. Thanks yet again!
Uh, maybe Bahamut Lagoon, tactical RPG with dragons, quite fun. It's for SNES. I don't have too many ideas now for some reason. :P
(Arx Fatalis could be mentioned as "the awesome PC RPG no one's heard of", but that game is 3D, so it's out of the question. Still, I highly recommend trying it, if you can.)
Ooh, just saw Arx Fatalis on Steam, I'll buy a copy. I've heard of Bahamut Lagoon, and I think I even have the ROM, but I'll actually play it now. Thanks so much, Gare!
Shining Force 2 on the Genesis was a great tactical RPG. There are lots of games in the "Shining" series, on sega systems and recently a couple on the GBA. SF2 is the only one I've ever owned, though. It was a great game. Think Final Fantasy: Tactics.
Snes:
the Fire Emblem series (not so unknown now, thanks to the translation patches available)
Bahamut Lagoon
Inindo: Way of the Ninja
Albert Odyssey (I think there's a translation patch available for this now)
Sailor Moon: Another Story (laugh all you like, it's miles ahead of the average licensed game)
Live a Live
the two Lufia games
Romancing Saga 1-3 (be warned, these games turn you loose with very little handholding. It's easy to end up with no idea what your next step should be)
Rudra no Hihou (again, I'm not certain if theres a translation available for this game)
Genesis:
Langrisser 2
the Phantasy Star series
the Shining Force series
Uncharted Waters 2
Ys III
I don't have access to my PSX or N64 roms at the moment, so I can't really name any from there.
