Vagrant Story.
Bomberman, anyone until the PS1 era. After that, bomberman turns into crap.
Tenchu - Stealth Assassins
Tenchu 2 - Birth of the Stealth Assassins

Muramasa: The Demon Blade (Wii)
Im trying to find some cool action RPGs to play, suggestions?
Secret of Mana is always the first one that comes to mind for me. I've heard the second one is good too but I never really could get into it. Secret of Evermore was good. I think Zelda games also loosely fit that mold. All of which are good in my opinion. If youre thinking 2D though I'd recommend Link to the Past. That's a great one. Illusion of Gaia was good. Those are all SNES recommendations mind you. I read in youre other thread that you preferred 2D and as far as I'm concerned SNES is the pinnacle of 2D action rpgs. The original Legacy of Kain is another fantastic one, if you have the patience for long load times, that's on PSX. I can't recommend the Kingdom Hearts games enough either. Granted the whole disney thing can be a little fruity at times, but the gameplay is really decent and the plot really does end up being solid in the end. Give it a chance if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed. As far as next gen stuff goes Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is an incredible game. It will eat your life. I've heard many many times that Marrowind, it's predecessor, is just as good if not better too. I've never played it myself. Fallout 3 was fun too I thought, although a lot of people seem to not like it. Above all I'd recommend Demon's Souls. It's fun, unique, and extremely challenging. Like a throwback to the brutality and unforgiving quality of the NES era. It's worth it though. It's challenging in a way that a great deal of next gen games are not. Every new milestone you reach in game really feels like an accomplishment. Every boss battle will have your palms sweating and your heart beating. I really can't recommend it enough. That's PS3 BTW, I'm not sure if they had that one for 360 or not, although I'm almost positive Elder Scrolls and Fallout were released for both systems.
That's officially all the ARPG's I can think of. If anyone knows of any other good ones I'd probably be into trying them myself.
I suggest (all those that came currently to mind):
PSX:
Vagrant Story
Alundra 1 + 2
Brave Fencer Musashi
Threads of Fate
Parasite Eve II
Legend of Mana
PS2:
Odin Sphere
Kingdom Hearts 1 + 2
Dual Hearts
Dark Cloud 1 + 2
Rogue Galaxy
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
Baroque
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Note: Most Action RPG's here are 3D... except Odin Sphere which is actually 2D
Yeah, ive yet to play play Secret of Mana on the snes, as for Zelda games, im not so much of a fan, but i still like them nonetheless, i could never get into Legend Of Mana as you said for the PSX as it was all split up into little quests which put me off, as for Kingdom Hearts i have never given them the chance (the whole Disney thing blows it for me) But i was thinking about having a go the other day, Im a real big fan of the Y's series.
Thank's alot Kuro, some Ps2 titles i have not heard of before :)
I actually didn't mean Legend of Mana. There's another sequel for SNES that was only released in japan. Seiken Densetsu? I'm sure that's not spelled right. You can find versions that already have translations patched in all over the place. In fact I think there's a third one thats similar too. Also a Japan exclusive. If you've never played the original Secret of Mana though and you're a fan of the genre you really should get on that. I see it as the game that started it all. Still stands up well too I think. You really owe it to yourself to try Kingdom Hearts too. Trust me. Thats coming from a 30 something heavy metal fan. I do not do Disney. Period. But those games are great. Really they are
No it's not. I played about 12 hours into it once. It's really very similar to the first one as far as story progression goes. What's cool about though is in the beginning, as opposed to just choosing your main character, you choose the other two characters you'll encounter during your play through to complete the party of 3. So depending on who your main character is and who you choose to meet the story is a little bit different each time. Which adds some nice replay value
