Does anyone know aprox. how big an Ubuntu install disk should be? When the DL starts it says it's ~650mb, but then it stops at around 93mb. Surely that's not right?

I have a buddy who likes to collect any computer parts that he can get his hands on, builds a semi-decent computer out of them, a donates them to a women's shelters and stuff like that.
