3 kings is a good hand too. When your playing for real and to get beaten by a straight or something is a piss off because it is pretty rare.

I was down a fair bit and was at the point where if I didn't double up soon, I was going to have a really hard time. I figured trip kings was the best hand I was going to get in a while. I raised him on the flop and he pondered, then called. I checked it to him on the turn, he raised it to twice the big blind, and I raised him all in (something like triple the pot). He had his straight on the turn.

I could have possibly played the hand a bit better in terms of when I placed bets and when I went all in, but in the end it probably wouldn't have mattered.

Sounds like you definitely made the right call then. Once you're to the point where the blinds are draining away the rest of your chips you start running out of options anyways. Oh well, shit happens. :wacko:

Pretty much. $10 for a couple hours of cards is still cheaper than an evening out anywhere else, and usually a lot more fun.
