~Newest Marine Here~
990.752 Already. :P That's cool. Tell me more.
990, 751
I've officially sworn in as a marine today, got my contract, and they will basically say, We'll See you uhh......November 12, 2012
Right around from my B-Day.
(FFFFUUUU...)
990.750 That's nice :D I think it is, at least. Ya know, there are no marines here. How many time will you stay contracted?
990749
990 748
I'll be contracted 4 years active duty, 4 years reserve duty....unless I want to reenlist(who does this?!)
I'm joking about the reenlistment part.
990.746
8 years then. That's a lot. Hahahahah, you gonna celebrate this somehow?
990.744 3 AM :( That's too early (Yeah... I'm kinda lazy... but I wake up at 4:30 almost every day)
990,741
I have heard horror stories out there, heat strokes, dehydration, the works. I guess I am getting the better draw this go round.
One of my mentors is an active Marine now, so I hear from him whenever he does something cool or something like P.I.(Paris Island and yes I am lazy)
nearly destroying all mindsets that walk in that place.
Cussing is as natural as breathing to Drill instructors.
990.741 Yeah, brain wash is good for everything :D Hahahahahah NOT. Anyway, is the payment good?
990.740
Yeah, it's pretty bad during the summer, but that's just the nature of the beast, it doesn't matter where you go, you're going to be outside doing physically taxing things, so it's going to suck regardless.
You may have gotten lucky on that account, but all that mean is that you'll be at AIT during the winter. Not as bad, but still pretty shitty.
990.738
:nosweat:
990.736 I'm a total ignorant to everything you both are saying :( hahaha
990.734 No worries. I don't really needed to know... I mean, it's not even my country :) But it's cool to learn
990,733
Yep, it is cool to learn about other countries, especially when it's free(to me at least).
990.732 Fun fact about Brazil: people thinks that everything from outside the country is better than what is from here. :nosweat:
Another fun fact: people don't walk naked all over, as strangers think.
990,731
AIT = Advance Individual Training.
Big words for "Your job training".

Well, I don't like capoeira. But I love watching tourists trying to perform it, hahahaha, that's kinda ridiculous, they don't really know what they're doing. And I don't know anyone who knows it... maybe in the state of Bahia (that means Bay... the name of the states here are fun :P) you'll find those.
About soccer... I may say not 10%, but about 90% or more are kinda fanatics... but I, again, am not part of them (I don't like many things that people here do... but many I do).
I like the fact that the tourist think that the world have to speak the same language they do :nosweat:
990 727
I've never gotten that point across some fools heads. If they have to learn our language, why can't we learn theirs?
OK I was making a large understatement about soccer, but I need to know straight from the source.
Your state names are cool, our city names are weird. (There is a city called Hell, Michigan over here)
I wouldn't learn Capoeira for the fight, just to do something that looks like anyone with flexibility can enjoy.
990.726 people normally only perform capoeira as a kinda of dance here. Not much fight at all. I don't think it is attractive. Just make sure you learn how to do it before doing it, so I may not laugh :P.
Well... We have cool city names here too like Bom Despacho (that would mean something like "good black magic"), Veado velho (it doesn't mean that, but sounds like "old qu**r"), and we even have a New York here (any similarity is coincidenca )
Oh... and I didn't like that Riotimesonline news. It doesn't seem that good.
990725
Ill make sure to thoroughly learn it.
There's only one New York, New York so no foul there.
Ya know Riotimesonline news probably isn't the best site on that particular holiday, but it's the only online article i could pull up on short notice.
990.724
Yeah, you're right, I shouldn't be picking on that news. Anyway, RJ have lots of holidays... that's not fair hahahah (now I'll say as people from Sao Paulo do), we carry the country on our backs (that's not true, anyway)
990723
So much to explore, so little money haha.
990.722 Yep. Hahahaha, I have less money, believe me. But there are real cool places to know here. I mean, there is Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Sao Paulo/SP, Santos/SP, Salvador/BH, Porto Alegre/RS and many things... Brazil has a bit of everything :D
990,721..Hi guys!
