And before you say there's no way Naruto could have used up all his chakra, keep in mind that because of the Kyuubi, his chakra control is only about average, after the adjustment Jiraya made to the seal.

Sasuke however has above-average chakra control (neither one compares to Sakura though)

This was actually mentioned in one of the earlier episodes, when they had to run up those trees, I think.

And the less chakra control you have, the more chakra you waste.

Actually his chakra control is below average, so but that's mostly right.

No, it's about average now, thanks to Jiraya, or he wouldn't be able to walk on water or pull off the Rasengan, etc.

Edit: Yeah, it was Rasengan vs Chidori. It wasn't that Naruto missed, his Rasengan hit head to head with Sasuke's Chidori. It looked as if Naruto's Rasengan just kind of got over powered, and then he went to scratch Sasuke's forehead protector. Looking at the fight just now, there was not one point in time where Sasuke was in any real danger for his life. Hell, Naruto was forced to go 1 tails while Sasuke was in regular form.

wasn't sasuke in that really emo looking form?

Well , Sasuke is the geinus with his cool blood-line limit , and Naruto is the kids who is trying reach Sasuke’s level , thats how it was through the first part of the anime (almost the whole first part ) , but Naruto is a fine ninja himself maybe a hard working one , he learned the Rasengan in 1 WEEK compared to the Yondaime’s TREE YEARS of training , so at the time they fought at the valley they were ALMOST equal , while Sasuke is smarter , he just do not do any meaningless attacks (maybe thats how he won? ) , naruto on the other hand just want to deliver as much as he can , but in power they are equal , IMO , hell maybe they let Sasuke win just to do this " Save Your Comrade And Return Home " story .

Thats what i think , i hate them both , and the other 10 Genins for that matter , they are much more interesting in Shippuuden.

Let me say this, at that point could ANY of the 13 other genin come close to beating sasuke in "base" 2nd tier sharringan form, even with using someone else's power?

could any of the jounin do it 1 vs. 1 other than kakashi?

No, the sharringan is freaking H4X, it lets you see into the freaking future, its like someone telling you what they are doing, then all you have to do is move out of the way...

Did not Lee beat the crap outta sasuke (with sharingan ) before the exams ?

Even if you have the sharingan , it does not mean you are magically stronger than any other ninja , any Jounin would beat the crap outta Sasuke any time of the day , and thats a fact , there is more to Jounins than just taijutsu .

That's nice. Kyuubi is still not a bloodline limit. It's a fact. When Naruto calls upon the Kyuubi's powers, he's calling upon someone else's powers, not his own. Everyone knows this. Why don't you?

okay, sharringan>tai, sharringan>gen, and sharringan>nin makes enough sense to me...

even if they were able to beat him, it wouldnt be like fighting a genin, he was easily chuunin level at the time...

What do you mean by 1st tier ? anyway Lee was able to kick sauske because sasuke was not up tp shape PHYSICALLY , his sharingan has nothing to do with it.

for taijutsu if the ninja is faster than sasuke , sasuke will be able to see it but can not do anything about it (like Lee ) , as for Gen and Nin it depends on the level of the jutsu , and your argument would work for some one like Itachi who is genrations stronger than Sasuke , the one who stopped the Chidori and countered Kurenai’s Genjutsu but not Sasuke.

Well, maybe this week we'll finally see some real progress made with the story since it's a double-episode special.

Or are they going to have the characters stare at each other for 40 seconds instead of 20 to make up the difference?

I saw the double episode in Raw form (Japanese w/no subs) and it does go deeper into Sasori's history.
