I guess it's still not clear. The wording in this article is ambiguous. "Package was taken to be detonated" doesn't mean it was a bomb.

Yeah it being detonated means nothing. They do that to anything suspicious without actually knowing what it is.
There should be more info after a forensics investigation, but that info being in the news is another thing. Sometimes it is and sometimes it isn't :shrug:
