I'm suggesting you to play Silent Hill 2. I think it's superior to the first one and it's more of a metaphysical story, rather than the straight one of Silent Hill. In fact Slient Hill 2 is deeper is execution, it's a more David Lynch-ian style. When I played it, it left something. It's an accomplished game, try it out. :)

Not too keen on the 'metaphysical' aspect, wasnt a big fan of "warping" into the 'hell world' via a mirror...ughh.. Is that the PSP version where you begin as the dude trying to save the burning girl? Who knows, they all run together...heh...

Can PS2 games/ROMs be 'burned' onto a disc or somehow put on the desktop?

Well, there is a Darkworld, but it's not like the Silent Hill 1 one. It's mostly warped rooms, artistic stuff. There's the otherworld hospital, but it's almost like the normal one but with messed up walls and rooms. The thing with Silent Hill 2, is that it doesn't rely on scares but on creepiness. Much like David Lynch's style, albeit way less confusing. Think of it a Eraserhead + Jacob's Ladder + first Silent Hill, type of game.
You can burn PS2 games onto a disc, if you've got a chipped/soft-modded PS2. Or you can try the PCSX2 emulator, if you've got a powerful PC.

Awesome! Eraserhead was a complete fuckjob, but I love Jacob's Ladder...so sad, though. I'll give it a try, for sure. How much should I be paying for this, used?

Dunno the 'specs' of my PC...it's "high-speed", whatever the hell that means, and my wife burns movies from Torrentz with zero trouble, and fast. Got it used from a local peddler for $500 bucks last year, and my buddies all tell us that we got a "HELL of a deal". Never have trouble with slow media, though we never have played games on it. Oh, it takes a few seconds, maybe 20, to download DS games from here.

It goes for about $10-15, but I'd recommend getting the GH version as it has an additional scenario.

Oh by the way, in the PC version you can save anywhere. A bit off in a survival game, but when they ported it they probably didn't want to piss the PC users off. :wacko:

I am looking for RPG's to collect for the PS3. I like playing offline, single-player JRPG's (usual traits of linear story, complex battle systems and invovles a party of characters etc.). You can try Catherine - It's a puzzle/rpg. You pretty much have every other JRPG out there.

I recommend Demon's Souls and it's not an RPG but Fist of the North Star Ken's Rage. FotNS SO MANLY.

@lefty: Looooooooooool. There are some good games, the cd ones in particular but most of those were stuck in Japan iirc. Might as well play the psp vers of Rondo of Blood, some other version of Snatcher etc...I do think that it might be the only way to play Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys which is def. worth playing. Other than that I don't know, I'm not too well brushed up on this stuff anymore lol.

i don't mind any genre of game so just list a game you would recommend to a friend or me ( in the case )

First you've got Baldur's Gate. That's a bomb rpg to be honest. I still haven't finished it because its pretty challenging.

Compared to the ps2 well yeah, it's a failure.

The problem with the gamecube is most of the good games aren't even exclusives.

So Baiten Kaitos 1-2 and Fire Emblem Path of Radiance are pretty much it for decent GCN exclusive rpgs iirc.

Hi Im A Zelda fan and Mega man x 1 -3 Fan (and the originals OFC) i was looking for some good Games to Play For PS1 and PS2 , Like some Good RPG and JRPG's
anything that's kinda related to Zelda or Mega man or even Mario i would like aswell :)

Have you tried the other games in the X series? They are nice, if you keep only to gameplay and forget the story. Also, X3 for the Playstation is my favourite port, because it got better soundtracks and Anime cutscenes, but I've seen only the PAL version, I don't know if it was released anywhere else. If you're going to run it on an emulator, you'll need some special configuring, since it has some bugs with some plugins and such, but it's finishable. I've got it in my uploaded PS1 games section, with a little tutorial on how to run it on ePSXe 1.7 (it's quite undertandable, if not, you can ask me there, if you're interested of course).

I suggest Mega Man Legends 1 and 2 it's Mega Man meets RPG great games IMO.

i have played the Rest of the X series , im not a fan of x8 it was pretty bad IMO, i have the Mega man X collections for PS2 so i got all them like x3 and stuff aswell for the ps2, i liked most of them, also i will try Mega Man Legends 1 and 2 , also im still open to other suggestions aswell
