Tell me about it. They're just so busy and big, and the smell of death and chemicals is everywhere. It really kind of creeps me out. I was the same way though, I was crying when I first broke my leg and finally sort of calmed down, (As best as I could anyways, my leg kept spasming a reigniting the pain.) but then when my mom finally got there and was already tearing up before she even saw me, I burst out crying and sobbing again and just generally causing a scene. The funniest part about it all though, was that all the nurses thought that I was faking it at first, since when I rolled over onto my back after breaking the bone, it managed to stay in a fairly normal looking position. One of the nurses even said something along the lines of calm down, you weren't acting like this before your mom got here. It really just made me want to punch her right in the face. :wacko: I got to sit in the hallway for a good 2 hours before the only intelligent nurse on that entire floor saw that my leg was swollen up to twice it's normal size and got me some morphine and a room. Good times.
