So something else happened in last night's election. Marijuana was decriminalized in the state of Washington.
I hate it so much :wacko:Quote:

So I was subnetting in class and I think my robotics prof. was getting irritated. He kept walking past while lecturing and standing over me. :lol
Im sure he had no clue what it was, but it definitely wasn't what he was lecturing. Probably thought I was just randomly writing down numbers.
Microcontroller TA graded the last homework HARD. I got a 91 for writing IF-ELSE instead of YES-NO on my flow charts.
Yes/no? Its a fucking ASM program, not a coloring book. Idiot.
You'd be surprised, really. A lot of informed smokers were against it due to the stips, but a lot of non-smokers went in for it specifically because it wastes less time and money prosecuting people carrying around enough for themselves to get high on. Focus on real crime and save the money.
Ah, I hear that.
Damn, unfortunately couldn't get into the doctor today. Hopefully someone will cancel their appointment this coming week and I can get in earlier than the twentieth. :ugh: Although luckily I am feeling a bit better right now. It usually only bothers me at night and when I'm trying to sleep.
Anyway, some good things happened today. Received my Phantasy Star Generation 2 in the mail today. Also won an auction for the Japanese Mega Drive version of Phantasy Star III CIB. The last one I need for the original Japanese series. :]
I don't like Obama as pres for most of the stuff he did, but both candidates sucked anyway, so it was just a competition between who was less bad.
Thanks man, I appreciate it. :) I hope I can get whatever is wrong with me diagnosed and start getting some treatment for it.
The Phantasy Star games are probably my favorite RPG series of all time. Well the original four games anyway. ;) Not that I disliked PSO or anything. It just wasn't the same at all. Rieko Kodama didn't even have anything to do with any of the ones after PS4. Besides the remakes of 1 and 2 for the PS2. Anyway, I'm starting to get a decent collection of Phantasy Star games now. My goal is to have a complete collection of the US and Japanese releases.
No, unfortunately I don't have health insurance. So I have to go to a community health clinic. Since I haven't been there in several years I'm considered a new patient. So they put my appt out for two weeks. I tried a couple other places, but it's pretty much the same shit. They put a note in my appointment record though so if anyone cancels their appt they'll call me and get me in earlier. I just want to start feeling better. It's affecting my sleep, my mood, and my performance at work. It's also gotten me terribly depressed the past couple weeks. I'm trying to stay positive, but it's hard.
Dunno much about the series, I only have a vague memory of the first one for Sega Master...something about the 'Argol System' or whatnot...
You will appreciate this, man: Just stumbled-on 'Do the Donkey Kong' on YouTube...LOL...Corny as all hell, but MAN did they BLAST this in the arcades back in the day, heh....dunno if you recall the days when arcades were dank, dark, and filled with smoke.
(Never paid much attention to the lyrics, only the 'driving' chorus and the in-game sounds, but apparently the lyrics are a sort of 'walkthrough' for the first game...odd and neat.)
BTW; thats a GREAT creature you have at the bottom there.
:4x:
Clive Dunn died today :( Used to love him in Dad's Army.
Beelze's avi and sig remind me that Phantasy Star 4 needs it's battery replaced.
Next project I guess, after PS2.
Hope you'll be well soon Beelze.
Yeah, the Algol star system. Which is an actual real star system. Also named "The Demon Star" in ancient times. It's a binary system where the two stars are so close that they actually transfer matter between the two of them. There is evidence though of at least 4 other companion star possibly making it a sextuple star system
Sorry, I think I'm too young to remember that. There really weren't a whole lot of arcades in my town back in the day though. The one's I remember going to weren't the typical dark smoke-filled variety. Sadly I missed out on that bygone era.
His name is Dark Force, one of the main evils in the Phantasy Star series. Being able to break through and causing havoc to the Algol star system every 1000 years.
You'd like how much my Phantasy Star collection has grown in the past month or so.
Don't know if you're planning on doing if yourself. but it shouldn't be too hard. If you want to you can send it to me and I can do it for you though. Only shipping and handling would be required.
Thanks man, I really appreciate it. :)
No work tomorrow :]
Then work Fri, Mon, Tue, Wed and then vacation. Go back to work the 26th :D
Damn, you are VERY into this series, eh? Are you also into the comics/figures/merch, or? I see things from time to time...
As for the arcades, yeah, makes me sad....At some point around the late 80s/early 90s, they went from the dungeon-like atmosphere I was used to to places that had the 'ambiance' of the friggin Disney Store...places like 'Aladdin's Castle' and MALL arcades...blechhhh...
:4x:
Yeah I'm quite the fan of the Phantasy Star series. I am into the merch as well. Just picked up guides for PS 2&3, still looking for the one for 4. Also just picked up two figurines of two characters from the series. Nei and Red Ring Rico. Would love to eventually get all of the official manga books and Japanese guides as well. Especially the Phantasy Star Compendium. Although those are very pricey on eBay.
That's about the time I remember going to the arcade was at the mall or some of the small ones sporadically scattered around town. Hell when I was really young Chuck E Cheese was actually a somewhat decent arcade. Before they got rid of the arcade machines and only had those ticket-pumping crap ones. I have fond memories as a child playing Moon Patrol, Mario Bros. and Battlezone at that Chuck E Cheese.
