Most stickers are fairly easy to get off with little to no harm to the label. If you are very careful about it.
It totally depends on what kind of game cartridge you're working with though. If it's a NES cart, luckily the labels are laminated. So as long as there's no spots where the laminate is worn down or gouged. It should be pretty easy to remove a sticker with some rubbing alcohol. For extra sticky glue residue I always use a little bit of vegetable oil. Rub it on and the glue balls up and wipes off. You have to be a bit careful at the edge of the label though. Because where the laminate ends the paper label is exposed. So it's possible to soak up excess alcohol/oil and cause permanent discoloration.
Unfortunately Sega Genesis and most other cart based games don't have laminated labels. So that renders alcohol unusable, as it will destroy the ink on the label. Vegetable oil is okay as long as you stay away from the edge of the label. Use a very, very soft cloth. As anything even a bit rough will start to rub off the ink.
I've had great success with some pretty bad examples of stupid sticker placement.

So anyway, uh end of lecture. :dread:
I'll check out BG2 then soon - I went to Torment when I finished BG Enhanced, and while I did enjoy it, there was just too much of it. Some day I'll really get into that game and finish it, but I've been telling myself that since it's original launch  Pretty sure that's been almost 14 years now.
Beelze - Terraria - At your convenience
I've not been on much myself, but when you feel like booting it up just send me a game invite - I'll drop whatever I'm playing and hop over - I'm not into anything right now anyway.... just been game jumping and messing with stuff I picked up on sale and whatnot.
Hey Beelzebub.
That's cool. I should really get back into playing SRW. Always loved that series. Although I really wish SRW Z for PS2 was in English. :P
You get the funds to fix your DS yet?
Heh, yeah, I've been kinda getting back into playing my Vita. After it sat for a few months collecting dust.
I personally have an SII and I love it. I really did not want an iPhone, though, so it was the logical choice for me. Free with 2 year contract.
Agreed. I should get around to cleaning my NES games... there are just so many with stickers, and I can't bring myself to sit down and do 'em all.
Blackhawks/Red Wings game is pretty intense right now.
Vancouver fired Alain Vigneault the other day.
Patrick Roy is the new coach for Colorado.
Next year is gonna be interesting.
You do realize that linking to Google redirect links don't work, right? The images never display for me.
I'm still so jealous of that Bomberman II. :nerd:
I still can't believe what a good deal I got it for on JJGames.
Still, I can ogle that MUSHA forever. Plus I should be getting a cool little MUSHA gashapon mini model in the mail soon to compliment it. :]
Also was looking at a site recently and they had the perfect product for you. :-P
That MUSHA is gorgeous. Especially all cleaned up and stuffs. :top:
I also like how shitty that roast is tied in that picture. :lol I'm sure the dude holding it up doesn't help the string placement at all, but it actually irks me. :PP Then I notice his package and I'm happy again.
Why Do I get the wrong idea when you say looking at his package?
This is why I'm glad I'm not heavily in to cart based systems. Honestly I'll just pay a bit more for the Genny games I'm looking for to avoid this hassle.
Yeah you won't be disappointed.

I do now.
Same reason I'm watching it. I'm definitely curious about what the market is at for a CIB Stadium Events right now. I think the last one I saw went for ~$24K, but if I remember right that was a BIN. I've got my money on it going for ~$18K.
I have a pair of Star Wars boxers with Chewbecca right on the package. I'm not sure if it's just terrible placement, or if it was intentional.
My god what I could do with 2gs :disgust:
While we are drooling, I worked out a trade for a NM CIB Albert Odyssey earlier today along with some toss-ins for value. I have to make sure I don't fap all over it when I get it.
Man I wish my mom never sold all my old nes games at a garage sale years ago.
Same here, but I know I didn't have anything particularly rare in there. I can remember most, if not all, of the games that I had when I was a kid. I've reacquired almost all of the games from my childhood, or will have once Pacman arrives. (Although I had the unlicensed Tengen version growing up, and I bought the licensed one).
I've also contemplating getting a CIB Tengen collection, just 'cause the boxes look nice and they're fairly cheap.
Yeah it's pretty awful. I had a nice little trade package worked out (a couple scarce RPGs with their accompanying strategy guides). I was hoping to get one of Albert Odyssey ($140), Magic Knight Rayearth ($140) and Dragonforce ($110). Realistic shipped prices for NM copies in parenthesis, all are that price and up (don't let ebay trick you, the listings for Albert Odyssey for 80-100 that look complete actually have the bulk of the manual torn out (this is very gross btw, it really makes my heart hurt when I see copies like that)). Took about an hour to get through the negotiations but in the end I'm sending $150 in value (somewhat subjective, could be more, could be less based on what I've seen) for $165 in value (pretty firm).
$$$$$$$$$$$
I never had a gigantic US Saturn collection. I did have a very nice SCD collection and a near 100% US RPG PS1 collection though.
Did you at least get wined and dined first?
I've been stalking every auction for a couple games right now to study trends for when I should be trying to snipe a listing.
I have no idea what's rare or not but I did have quite a few so maybe there was a gem or 2 in there.
Didn't get shit all. It was after I left home the first time so I couldn't even do shit about it. What really hurts was my toy collection. And what hurts even more is the prices she sold shit for.
Yeah I have some money to blow through after selling a spare Eureka Seven anime set I got. Feels good man. Of course I'm probably going to blow through the rest of it tomorrow at that sale I mentioned before. I bought some shit to make my Saturn look beautiful (or something like that) while playing it upscaled on my hdtv. 5x BNC Female to RCA Male Adapter-Gold Plated, Sega Saturn stereo RGB SCART cable for NTSC (Japanese, US), SCART to BNC and RCA. Because using regular AV is for rubes right?
Ouch. And yeah, I was forced to trade in all my N64 stuff when I was a child because I kept arguing with Shar about playing it. Over 50 games all NM CIB and the console was effing CIB too. Got a pile of cash at the time, which was then spent on a shitty-ass ink-jet printer. LETS CRY TOGETHER. ;_;
Definitely. And there are only about 20 games, so it wouldn't even take long unless I waited for absolute mint copies of everything.
I might have to start pricing this out.
Never know. It hurts me to think back to my childhood games and know that my mom sold them for about $2-$3 in a garage sale.
