Just wondering what people think is the best ds game in their opinion, because there is no way to equally judge games
(i set up this thread so that people can get the best games on their ds)
just looking for some opinion because I want some fun games to play on my ds, currently i need some more games
Best = Favourite?
Lets hope Cosmic doesnt spot this xD
aww well, i guss thats what you get for being a fourm noob :P
hahahahhahahaha only just after i created this did i see that so yeah......i should come online more often
..........
On Subject I don't play NDS Couldn't stand the D-Pad and wasn't enough games that grabbed my attention, All I could mention was Resident Evil DS and Mario Kart xD
Play it full screen on your PC. You might change your mind!
Just merge this with the game suggestion thread and that should do it. Instead of arguing over whether or not this is a favourite thread, how about giving some actual suggestions.
In any case, it's either Radiant Historia or PW: Trials and Tribulations for me. Best RPG and adventure game on the DS, respectively.
The PW games are pretty ace, but I'd have to go with either Retro Game Challenge, just because it's so damn cool or one of the Prof. Layton games. I dunno why, but they're so damn awesome. Final Fantasy Tactics was highly enjoyable though, as is the Fire Emblem game - despite there being a lot silly things about it.
It's silly, because I know I've played lotsa of games that I really liked, but they're not on my FC any more, and I can't remember them all too well.
I'd say my favorite would be The World Ends With You, Lego Battles, and Advance Wars.
wow nobody has even mentioned dragon quest IX. in my opinion its the best but super mario 64, the world ends with you, elite beat agents, and rune factory 3. all top notch titles
Best Harvest Moon game/Rune factory on DS, kgo.
Hi guys,
I'm fairly new to PSX Emulation and PSX in general and I'm struggling a tad :P. I've owned pretty much every system except a ps1. I did a bit of research looking for retro style PSX games and found a couple I like. The first I downloaded was Castlevania: SOTN and I'm already stuck in it :S. This isn't anything like not being able to run the game I'm just already stuck. When you begin and your Richter and you have to fight Dracula how do you defeat him? I watched a walkthrough where this guy uses some sort of rain on him? :P Sorry to sound nooby but how do I get him into his second form where I can just attack him? Also it would help if you could tell me what buttons to press to get that action :P.
Secondly, like I said I'm new to PSX so could you guys suggest some good games I should download? I already have Castlevania and Grandia and I've heard of some good ones like Chronocross and Xenogears and of course Final Fantasy. It would be great to hear some other ones (I like RPGS).
Thanks in advance!
Wackyherb
Suikoden I & II
This should be in the Sony Systems category. And for RPGS, go Wild Arms, Suikoden, and my fav PSX Series, PERSONA!
Wrong, this should be here:

Sorry guys! I didn't know where to post :S If an admin could move that would be kindly appreciated :) Thanks for the requests guys keep sending em' if you got more
For RPG, i recommend Breath of Fire III & IV. Classic.
Sony systems is in Everything Emulation, and he's not asking any emulation-related questions. So Jase is right.
As for games, just throwing my 2 cents in there by recommending Valkyrie Profile.
And I think you might be referring to an item crash move with that rain thing. You do that with the triangle button if you have the proper sub-weapon equipped. It's different for each sub-weapon, but for the rain attack you'll need Holy Water.
Yep, and we simply pointed it out. I wasn't trying to be mean or anything, so don't take it personally.
Breath of Fire 3 (4 sucks), Wild Arms 3, Suikoden 1 and 2, Final Fantasy 7,8,9, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, Disgaea, Persona, Final Fantasy Tactics
Just a few, most already mentioned but those are my favs.
Hi has anyone got any good horror games that they know of?
Looking for anything from before PS2 Xbox era.
Already played Silent Hill and Resident Evil.
Okay. I'm making this post.
As some of you know, I just got a PS2 the other day. (Thanks Zal! :dancing: ). I have a few games to start playing, but eventually I'm going to want to pick up some more. And I'm looking for a quick list of recommended titles. I enjoy action/adventure, platformers, and action-RPGs to an extent. Also, shooters and whatnot that at least partially break the mold from a typical shooter (but not Fallout. Fuck Fallout :disgust: )
Games I currently own:
- Resident Evil 4
- Final Fantasy XII
- Gran Turismo 4
- God of War II
- Star Trek: Encounters
- Goldeneye: Rogue Agent
- Bond: Everything or Nothing
- Red Faction 2
- Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal
So, like I said... I'm looking for recommended titles. Of the games that I already own, RE4, Ratchet & Clank, Rogue Agent and God of War are going to be receiving the most attention. I've heard great things about Shadow of the Colossus and have always been intrigued by it (especially after seeing gameplay footage in "Reign Over Me"), and I'll probably pick up all of the Ratchet & Clank titles anyways. But seriously... are there any other recommendations? I don't mind RPGs, but I do have a tendency to get bored with them. Also, not a huge fan of sandbox games -- I find I get lost more than anything, and again get bored and give up.
Shadow Hearts 2 (actual title is Shadow Hearts: Covenant, but it's the second game in the series) is one of my all-time favourite games on the console, so I'll go ahead and mention it, despite what you've said about RPGs. It's pretty much a traditional RPG gameplay-wise, what makes it so memorable to me is the fact that it takes place in an alternate WW1-era Europe. Meaning, you have all kinds of cool places to explore. You don't necessarily need to play the first SH to understand the story, but it doesn't hurt to read a quick plot summary somewhere online.
Okami is... well, it's Zelda, except you're controlling a wolf. And before you ask, it's a lot more Zelda than Darksiders.
There's also the PS2 port of Silent Hill: Origins, and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Origins is actually a really nice SH game (better than 4 and Homecoming in my eyes), while Shattered Memores kinda sucks gameplay-wise, but has a really good plot, IMO the best in the entire franchise. It was a pleasant surprise.
Zone of the Enders 2 is really nice. Haven't played the first game, but I hear it's, uh... not that good.
And do pick up SotC. Best game on the PS2. Seriously.
There's a lot more I could mention, but since I'm mostly into RPGs myself, the majority of those recommendations would fall into said genre. So uh, yeah. Awkward!

It's okay, but it's no ZoE2.
"Odin Sphere"
Seconded.
