Ah okay, I see. Yeah, actually he got so little screentime that I wasn't even aware of his existence in ME3 (I played ME2 back in 2010, it's been a while). So at first I was like Harbinger? Who's Harbinger? :wacko:

Omega is pure fighting with little to no story, very mediocre overall. Skippable.

Leviathan has plot-relevant info and one very creepy/atmoshperic mission. Easily better than Omega but still not that amazing, and it's only 1.5-2 hours long. Maybe Youtube it if you're interested.

In all honesty Citadel is the only one I'd label as a "must play".

Citadel is better IMO, but only if you're receptive to the sheer amount of fanservice it brings. Shadow Broker was good, but I had an absolute blast with Citadel. If you want to rate them strictly based on story, then probably SB is better with the ending twist, but as far as overall enjoyment is concerned, Citadel wins by a landslide, for me personally.

Like I said, depends on how much you enjoy the fanservice and the comic relief.

Also, the ending scene of Citadel is the best thing ever. I'd rate it higher than Shadow Broker just for those 60 or so seconds. :wacko:

I've just beaten Mario and Luigi: Superstar saga, beating the final boss with the double damage badge thing was a pain but it was well worth the punishment :P

My son and I powered through the rest of Toy Story 3 before his bedtime tonight for the :platinum:.

The game itself is a lot of fun and is actually a really cool kids game, but the PS3 version suffers from some terrible load times that rendered it virtually unplayable at points. I don't know how it compares with the 360 version, but considering loadtimes are usually faster on 360, I'm going to assume it handles it a little bit better.

Still. Onto something else. Might take him shopping tomorrow to find a new game for us to play.

Koumajou Densetsu II: Stranger's Requiem

Recorded on the other laptop before my sister gets home tomorrow

Have started playing quite a few games again after a seven or eight month hiatus in Japan, both for Japanese language exposure and because I'm feeling a bit run down over leaving the country, and it's a fun means of escapism. :'D Yesterday I went back to my Japanese replay of the Xenosaga series, and finished up 2 after dropping it for six months at the Omega System. Have always defended the second game, mostly because of the nice story stuff with Jr and the other URTVs on the first disc, but in hindsight, the second disc is really, really bad. I remember Tetsuya Takahashi and Soraya Saga saying that they were cut out midway through the game's development, and only directly worked on the scenes with the URTVs, after which the new team mostly their own thing with the rest of the game. It kind of shows, as there's really almost no story to speak of on the second disc. Some stuff happens, but it's just a vaguely linked sequence of events and dungeons, without any real central narrative binding it together as in the rest of the series, and most of the few story scenes that there are are just action set pieces. Contrary to many people, I actually found the gameplay in the second game okay (except for the ES battles, which are duuuuuull), and the boss fights, in particular, were pretty fun. But to me, it's nowhere near strong enough to hold together a second disc that is basically just a long gauntlet of mediocre dungeons.

Not that I think that only Takahashi and Saga are capable of handling Xenosaga, of course. After all, the third game turned out great without much of their involvement at all. But it's obvious looking at the game that there was a scramble to piece together a complete story and script without their involvement in time for the game's release, and the second disc was a real slog for me this time. D: I have such a big backlog that I don't tend to replay games a lot, but when I do, I'm generally left with lots of warm, nostalgic feelings, and the resolution in my head that I'll definitely go back and replay them again five or six years down the line. I felt that way after my replay of Episode 1 in Japan, after my replay of Skies of Arcadia back in late 2011 to early 2012, and after my replay of Chrono Trigger in French just before leaving for Japan. But Xenosaga 2 is a game that I have now finished in both English and Japanese, and that feels like more than enough. It has its good points, and I still think the first disc is not bad at all. But next time I play the Xenosaga series, I'm just going to watch 2's cutscenes on Youtube. :'D

I would assume football and hockey games are similar in that you could say you "beat" them when you finish a full season + win the Superbowl/Stanley Cup on Professional mode (stay with one player for their career, or whatever the equivalent in a football game would be). :shrug:

Galaga Legion DX - 100%

Fun little game. Gets kind of repetitive after a while, but it's great as a way to kill 30mins. :top:

Kingdom of Amalur. In the end it was a case of go here kill that, go here collect something rinse and repeat. I've still got to platinum it but I don't know if I'm going to do it right away, it seems like the sort of game that would get annoying if you tried to do every single quest. One of the most annoying things about this game is going to the great cities. You get the intro to the place everytime you enter the main area, even if you go in a shop and out of it, which you needed to do for some quests. Very irritating part of the game

Bioshock Infinite - overall have to say it was overhyped IMO ::\:

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within

Beat it on Easy and got the secret ending. Only missing 5 pieces of artwork, which should be easy enough to do on my Normal playthrough. Apparently they decided not to make the difficulty trophies stackable, so I have to go through this and Two Thrones on Easy, Normal, and Hard. :yawn:

GTA V. Super disappointed in the ending. The game overall was great though.

Megami no Ken is probably the shortest game I have ever played, ever.

I knew it was a prologue to Devil Force, but I was under the impression it was still an actual game unto itself.
Seven maps.
Seven.
What's ironic is that the last few battles were drawn out at least four times longer because I was micromanaging kills to ensure everybody was balanced in levels for later. HAH! There is no later.
Also ironic is the fact the sixth map was so big, I said, "I hope there aren't many like this, because I don't want this game to take too long." Heh. Next map was the first (and last) boss battle, and it took place in a tiny cabin, taking like five minutes.
Guess it served its purpose in making me want to play Devil Force, though.

Finished the first half of Sol Trigger on the Ema route. Quite a downer ending I must say. Now onto the considerably more light-hearted second part... Only quirk about the game is that it doesn't feature a NG+... so I have to unlock everything and level grind again for the other routes :wacko:

GTA V.

Nowhere near done with it, but beaten the storyline anyway. Now to get those side missions done.

Went back to GRID 2 and cleared up the races I missed. 100% in career now. Shitty fucking game.

Dragonforce.

Was pretty badass. Sometimes these overly expensive games disappoint me, this did not. It was worth $100.

Beat Fran's route in Sol Trigger. It has basically the most differences compared to the other two routes but besides chapter 7 of Farel's story and the ending, it is pretty much the same.
The skills Lars gets in that part are awesome though ^^

I'm almost tempted to try Saigo no Yakusoku no Monogatari as well, just to see the backstory (the main characters of that game were referenced in Sol Trigger if you remember). But I hear it's a shit game, so maybe not.

Yeah, I remember reading something about the Golden Sol having belonged in the hands of 7 individuals in Yggdra in the Words section of Sol Trigger. Didn't expect these references to be about a prequel though but more of bonus background story. Maybe I'll check it out myself the next few weeks to check if it is indeed crap :wacko:

Currently enjoying Dangan Ronpa and now investigating the last case in chapter 6. I was quite surprised that I was able to solve most cases quite accurately. Having played through all Ace Attorney games a while ago seems to have enhanced my deduction capabilities (or the cases are too easy :P).

I have beaten Dust - An Elysian Tale.
Now this game is a very nice, simplistic hack and slash side-scrolling adventure. Its main point lies within the story. Its a bit cheesy, but also a touching one. However, the ending is a bit weak, and the whole game is *ahem* all with anthropomorphic animals. Basically furries for those who shy from anything with the subject :wacko:.
I got it cheap off steam, but I'd warn you it's a one time play story.

Ultraman Fighting Evolution Zero

Maybe I should try to record their Color Timer warnings, I've been dying to hear what do they sound from the other Ultramen

As of last week I finished Contact and Nostalgia for the Ds.Loved every moment of Conact.Wish I could say the same about Nostalgia but I hated the Ship combat.Everything else in that game was top notch.I just modded my Wii yesterday and started to play Earthbound.Really enjoying it so far.

Metal Gear Solid 1 - PS1 - Normal Difficulty - Good Ending (That was the first time I beat this game. It was really fun and difficult. Other games seem easy now. I will beat it again someday to see the bad ending.)

I totally understand. I beat both the original game on PSX and the remake on Gamecube and it was pretty satisfying. Anyways I took down Crash Bandicoot again not to long ago just to revisit the game. I will be revisiting the other 2 sometime soon.
