Unpack to a reasonable image

(searching the forum doesn't seem to give me any results on this)

I downloaded a bunch of games...used unPakk on them and ended up with a whole bunch of .bin files (-game_name- (Track 1), -game_name- (Track 2) etc. all the way to 50++) in some of the games.
Am I doing something wrong? I believe all those games had .ape files with them in the 7zip archives when I downloaded them.

I like having everything organized in my hard drive so I want to endup with just 1 file containing everything, rather than 60 (no joke, one of the games has 62 "tracks").

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Not really the help I was requesting...
The PakkIso already took care of all that, my result is this:

The .ape files are already "unpacked" along with the .ecm...but the final product of the process is a huge pile of bin files, which I would like to combine into one bin or one iso file...that's what I need help with.

Skip PakkIso and use 7zip and UnECM. I've never had any of the limitless problems reported with PakkIso using these programs instead.

Go back to the first file you downloaded and unpack it with those. You should get much better results.

Hmm, no .cue file as well? Oh well, formatted like that, it's obviously a redump dump. Fetch it's .cue file here:

The files you extracted are what were uploaded, it has nothing to do with your unpacking methods. Technically this format is superior to what a common person actually wants, because it fixes all the usual track offset problems.
If you'd like to tidy the effing mess up, I'd suggest changing the image into a bin+cue (CDs with audio can't be functionally stored as single files, 2 files is as good as it gets). To port it to bin+cue, mount it's .cue file to a virtual drive, then re-rip the drive using something decent like CDRwin 3.9 (or ImgBurn).

It's likely a TOSEC dump/conversion or otherwise. It's most likely not a 1:1 image since the files listed fail to observe standard redump.org naming convention (calculate and compare the hash values to be sure). If the cue sheet is missing, as is suggested, you'll either need to rename the files to match those listed in the .cue sheet or edit the .cue file accordingly.

The rest is spot on.

As an aside, I prefer the redump method for archival purposes; as well as 1:1, it allows you to achieve superior compression results when using multi-phase compression schemes such as PakkISO. The savings can be significant.

Ah yeah, the filenames are slightly different. My bad :whistle:
If you need to edit the .cue's guts just use the find/replace option with any text editor. That's far easier than changing all those filenames, or finding some batch file renamer flexible enough to clean them up right.

Agreed on editing the .cue sheet.
