Through life people have always told me that their 5 year projections at any point in their lives, had actually turned out to be inaccurate in one way or another, usually drastically. That being said what's your 5 year projection at this point in your life?
I'll start.
5 years from now, I should have my bachelors in sociology and at least be well on my way to a masters in sociology. I hope to be teaching by then, most likely teaching in a high school history or English department. I may still be living in my current town, but I would like to move to either Ventura of Santa Barbara (50 miles from my current locale) and teach there. My romantic life is completely uncertain, but I'd like to think at this point I will have some sort of stability in that area, as I do now, but who knows what can happen.
5 years from now I'll probably be doing the same things I always do. Of course I would hopefully have my bachelors in business and a higher paying job.

5 years from now I should have my major in Computer Sciences and Japanese completed from Purdue and hopefully get accepted into the FBI. Whilst living at home!

your goals are similar to mine, minus the FBI part -- Probably going to head towards a major in comp sci as well. I took 3 years of Japanese so far, but didnt take a 4th in fear of killing the teacher -- she honestly ruined so much of the language for me, but i might give it another try in college.

hay fury
That sounds awesome. Real fucking awesome.
Hopefully I will at least have graduated from Purdue in 5 years. Possibly majoring in history, but that could easily change.
EDIT: This whole look into the future thing is so lame. It is impossible to determine where you are going to be in 5 years. The world is far too random.

Probably in Uni (because I flunked out of HS, I effectively can't get into university until I'm 21. Stupid mature-entry rules) studying something, maybe doing a bit of writing on the side and hopefully working the indy wrestling scene.

I dropped out my senior year and started going to a community college, I just transferred to University of California Bakersfield this semester. Community college isn't as attractive as the University, but its a path to a BA regardless. I'd definitely consider it if I were you.

Not an American.
Here, the closest thing to CC is TAFE, which is all about Industry/Trade skills. I already have a low-level accreditation from them, but it doesn't do shit for me regarding Uni unless I first finish off the advancement path I was on.
Which will take longer than waiting till 21 and still wouldn't gain me anything unless I was continuing down the same subject area. Which is an area I hope to never go back into.

I sorry for my misunderstading of you're higher education system. Community colleges are very convenient, the University campus I to isn't even really the university itself, its a satelite campus in my community, that is just an extension of the community college parking lot. 21 will come quicker than you think though, at least it did for me.

The aussie education system is odd, to say the least. It's good so long as you stay on any of the paths they expect people to take, but bloody infuriating once you're off the beaten path.
