    Default Broken link/file.

    Hey guys !

I'm just a newbie here and was kinda wonderin if Valkyrie Profile CD 1 was broken especially parts 3 and 9. I've tried searching some posts/threads similar to my problem but none of them seemed to have helped.

When I tried extracting the part 1 file, everything went smooth not until part 3 and 9 had errors. This seem to have popped-up.

! \Playstation\Valkyrie profile\ValkyrieDisc1.part03.rar: Packed data CRC failed in valkyrie profile CD1.img. The volume is corrupt

I've tried redownloading a couple of times. Still, the problem persists.

And others said once they open the file it'll ask for a password. If I could remember correctly, when I opened the file it didn't seem to ask for any password or whatnot.

    Comments/suggestions will be highly appreciated.

was you able to download all the files?
I'm not able to understand your problem.
Maybe you need to put all the compressed files in one folder and extract only the first one.

So basically the files that you downloaded were corrupted. If the files got recovery record, you can fix them.

Please tell me more about this 'recovery record' you've been speaking of . I'm not the nerdy computer guy type so please bear with me. But I've actually encountered this word on a recent post I just saw awhile ago. It said something about repairing the winrar stuff. Anyway, I've downloaded the part 3 and 9 (Which was stated to be corrupted) and all the files have 50 MB Capacity (Which they say, has no corruptions, I think.) except for part 9 which is the last part.

Hi there, well first, right click on any of two of the corrupted files, let's say; you right click on part 3 file> properties> archive tab> and see the recovery record if its say PRESENT instead of ABSENT, the you're good to go and vice versa. If it say, PRESENT, open that part 3 file, then on top, you will see "Tools"> "Repair Archive" and I'm pretty sure you can do the rest.

Well, I'm F*cked. It says Absent Boohoo!

Is there any other way for me to recover this corrupted file? Cuz I've tried redownloading like, 3 times already and I still have the same problem . In addition to that, when I opened the first part of the file ( Valkyrie profile CD1 part 01.rar) it didn't ask for a password which instead should be asking.

First thing first, there is no way you can recover corrupted file if there is no recovery record stick with it. Secondly, no matter how many times you downloaded the same file, it just won't work simply because the original file itself is corrupted. And about the password confused me a bit. Can you link me where you found the download links? I can probably help you.

Why don't you use the new PSX ISOs section ?
The section you're using is no longer maintained.

I believe there is a message in large letters all over the old section saying that it's no longer maintained
