    Default JTAG questions

Finally got my JTAG Jasper running last night, and while im still figuring out WTF everything does, a question has occurred to me.

If I keep my profile and savegames on a MU, and move it back and forth between the JTAG box and the one i go on live with, is there any danger of bannination? im not talking about achievement hacks and save game edits or anything, just using my profile to play saves from my live box on the jtag.

That will be fine, just make sure you don't put XEXmenu or any other JTAG only apps on the memory card, then put that into your legit 360.

Also be careful about what you load on your gamertag. Don't load up something like SNES360 which has homebrew achievements as it'll probably flag your profile on XBL.

    Happy gaming.

well, i typed out a whole thing here, but somehow it managed not to post. if i cant figure out how to work the forum, what does that say about my prospects of making use of my new box? lol

either way, thats good advice, thanks. not planning to run much in the way of emulation, but who knows what the future holds.

before that point though, ive gotta figure out how to boot to either freestyledash or xexmenu. got quicklaunch 2.23b installed, but cant get it to do anything boot-wise. cant find anything on launch.ini for the current version either.

    thanks again

Can't help you there, I lost interest in JTAG 360s around the 9199 dashboard era. Way before dashlaunch was around.

Inferno, i fixed my problem, was a ID-10-T error. smooth sailing now.

Darklinky, if you have an xbox that hasnt been updated (been on XBL) since mid-09, its entirely doable with a nand-x kit from team xecuter

Have fun, you'll probably be better off just buying a pre JTAG'd system if you're serious about it since finding ones that are exploitable is a pain in the arse. Then you need to find someone to JTAG it for you, unless you're a wizard at soldering.

The JTAG soldering job isn't for beginners.

It's no PS2 modchip install (complex as fuck) but it's no XBOX 1 TSOP flash soldering job either (piss easy).

    Hey, i resemble that remark!

I mean, I've used a soldering iron before, but putting an electric guitar together isnt the same as soldering on a PCB. but the quick-solder connections in the nand-x kit make it almost foolproof as long as youve got a fine point (5/32" or smaller) tip for your iron.

and darklinky, if you look around some of the 360 mod scene forums youre sure to find either a pre-jtagged box for sale, or someone advertising services for it.

www.xbox-scene.com 's B/S/T is the best place to go.
