    Default rainbowsix and my CPU

I just instaled rainbowsix and it told me that my processor does not meet the minimum requirements.

    I have a Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2x 2.40GHz.

But it says that everything else is grreat?

    Any ideas?

It'd have to be vegas. Ignore it, this game is before Core 2 Duo, it thinks its a Prescott, which needs to be 3GHz. Your CPU is way more than enough, just quit and then run the game. Also, please ask questions like this in the tech related forum, Hardware subforum

I did ignore it and the game ran very slow. Atlhough I must admit on my crazy processor I am running a Geforce 7600 gs. SO I gues my bottle neckis the card and the 2.0 shader when the game cleaerly needs 3.0 shader.

That'd be it. Hell I have a E6420 and a 8800GTS and it slows down a good bit on my system. Of course I have it maxed out at 1680x1050 =DDDD

But yeah, the pixel shader is screwing you up. There was a way to emulate 3.0 on a 2.0 board, but it didn't work too well. This is a very demanding game so you'll need much better card than a last gen mid range card I'm afraid.

    Sprung, no.

LOL, durrrrrr, I forgotsted, I was thinking 4/3, not 3/2 . But it doesn't matter, since like I said, Vegas is demanding as hell, your card can't keep up, your going to have to drop the settings

Now that's truth. But yeah, you'll have a hard time playing Vegas.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter was "okay" playable on my card, X1900XTX (at 1280x1024 back then).

    I'd get either a 8800gts or a HD2900XT, the 8800GTX really isn't worth it
