Certain areas are completely black in Pokemon white

I recently downloaded the Pokemon White ROM off of emuparadise (http://www.emuparadise.me/Nintendo_D...39026-download) and partway through the game I attempted to access the Dreamyard and whenever I do, the entire emulator screen goes completely black. I'm running the ROM on OpenEmu (v1.0.4) and I tried using DeSmuMe (v0.9.8) but for whatever reason I couldn't gain Exp points after battling.

I have a Mac with:
1.4 GHz intel core i5 processor
4GB of DDR3 RAM

Pokemon White has copy protection in it, so you will either want a pre patched version or to AP patch it yourself then try DeSmuMe again

I just use a 3DS with a flash kit though and does not require a patched rom

Some flash kits and emulators do not require the protection to be patched as those devices/emulators can bypass that to start with, but others do require some games to be patched, this is what prevents the EXP gain though as that is how the copy protection worked with this game
