Transferring sav files from Flashcard to Emulator

I decided to import all my files from my sd card in my Acekard2i to my laptop, because I felt like playing the ds on a bigger screen. However, whenever I tried loading a game using Desmume AND No$gba my previous sav files would not work with the .nds file. It would always appear as a new game. I put the .sav file and .nds file in the same folder but it still won't work.

Some assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Yeah I tinkered with it for a good 20 minutes, didn't get it to work. Thanks for trying, though

I would google around for a converter - there's gotta be something that can do it kicking around.
