    Default Problem creating playable backup

I have free mcboot in my memory card and I am trying to create a playable backup of Dynasty Warriors 5 but I'm doing something wrong
apparantly. I extract the iso file and patch the image, then I use img burn on a dvd-r on 2x speed but once it's done and I pop it in the cd drive of my ps2
(fat) it doesn't play the screen just goes black and stays black. I know I know I'm such a n00b and I will be eternally grateful for any help.
I guess I should note that ESR does not appear in the menu on start up and I do not know how to make it appear.

I don't see dynasty warriors 5 on the esr compatability list.
    Here's the list: http://www.epforums.org/showthread.php?80824

Can you launch mcboot and navigate to the ESR elf? When you installed free mcboot, you did not place the launch able elfs in the right folder.

You can custom set the auto run path for ESR via mcboot .

You can also custom config mcboot to show or hide menu options.

I didn't have anything shown for a long time for mcboot, I do now though, but not with ESR that is still hidden as it auto starts anyway when you pop in a ESR patched DVD.

There are plenty of config options in mcboot to play with.

But if when you insert the DVD-R and the screen flashes pink and blue (I think it was pink and blue, its been a lil while since I booted the PS2) then ESR is auto running, if it went black though instead not sure why it would do that at all unless it's trying to play the game as a DVD Video, that is possible if ESR is not set to autorun.

If you think everything is set up correctly then double check the iso and make sure the crc is correct before patching (the crc changes as soon as you patch it and is changed if you un-patch it aswell)

crc info can be found at http://redump.org/discs/system/ps2/letter/d/?page=11 (wasn't sure what version of the game you have so just directed you to the main list, but click on the version you have to find out what the crc should be)
