    You'll need to convert the .gme file you're downloading to a .mcr file (simply renaming it doesn't work). This is how you'll do it;

    1. Download PSXMemTool from this site; http://homepage.ntlworld.com/simon.m....20b_Setup.exe as well as the required runtime libraries needed to run it, found here; http://homepage.ntlworld.com/simon.m...ol_Runtime.zip

    2. Run the installer and install the main program. Then, take the zip file you downloaded and extract it's contents into the install directory (most likely C:\Program Files\PSXMemTool)

    3. Run the program. Click the Open button and select the .gme file you downloaded. Then, click Save and on the dialog window, select .mcr on the dropdown menu. Name it epsxe000.mcr.

    4. Move this newly converted .mcr file to your memcards folder in your epsxe folder, renaming/backing up your old epsxe000.mcr file if necessary.

Let me know if this helps or if you need any clarification.
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

That is pretty much what i did in the first place but i repeated it followed your instructions to the letter and still no go even tried a diff program and still no go. IT shows up when i load it in the memtool but when i load the game it shows nothing is there.

You're most likely using a different region of the game from the one you downloaded the saves for. PSX has a unique code for each game (different code for each region) and it uses the code to detect the save files. Try looking for saved games for a different region. OR you might still be able to convert your save files in PSXMemTool (iirc it had an option which would change the memory card format, or something like that) but I haven't tried it and don't know if it works.

Keep in mind that many games have different versions, each with their unique code. As an example, there are 3 Resident Evil 2 codes, and 3 different Resident Evil dual shock edition codes, which makes it 6 different codes for the same game.

Your issue might be something else, but I can't tell unless you provide more information: can you convert and use the gme files for other games, or you have the problems for all the games? Can you save and load games in epsxe without any problems?

yes i can save and load with no problem i tried 3 programs none worked and i tried two conversion tools and they did not work so unless i am doing something wrong which is possible although i dont think i am it just doesnt load oddly enough if i play a different game the memory card comes and says there is a save for another game. But when i load grandia no save for it comes up at all.

Run epsxe, create an empty memory card, load grandia, play the game and make a save file.

In PSXMemTool, select the new memory card, select your save files, and choose to export as .mcs

    Get this file: psvtopstools.rar
In the file, find the program called "PSXRC.exe", drag and drop the mcs file on it, and it will generate a raw save that is named by your game's code.

Do the same for the memory card you've downloaded, and get the code for that one too.

If the codes don't match, then the save file you downloaded belongs to another game. If they do match, your save file is either corrupt or badly converted.

*.gme files are directly compatible with ePSXe 1.7.0 you just need to attach that file

to attach it you need to copy the gme file into the memcard folder

next open ePSXe then hit Config then Memory Cards

then hit Select to the right of 1

then select the gme memcard file and OK everything

    Simple eh

Note: the save files do need to be for the correct region by the way or they will not be seen by the game

If you like though I can convert save regions or you can try it yourself with the aid of certain save tools by the name of PSXGameEdit http://moberg-dybdal.dk/psxge/

Why anyone would want to convert something that is already compatible with ePSXe is beyond me

P.S. wish I seen this earlier I could of solved this for you in a single post though at a guess you have the PAL version of the Game but the saves are NTSC versions

Infact I quickly converted a save to PAL and attached it compressed in a zip file (P.S. it is a convert so may still have problems loading if I got the code incorrect)

extract the attched file to the memcard folder and follow the above instructions (I kept it in gme format, more to prove that what I said above works)

If it is still not working I am willing to download the first first disc and mess on with the saves and give you a working version also if the save that I converted is not the one you wanted (it's just the first one at gamefaqs) I will do another one for you (converting the save region is not always a simple task)
