MW3 Xbox 360 cd problem

I recently bought MW3 for 360, from Walmart. I lost the receipt. One big problem, the day I opened the game. I put it in my xbox and it said "open tray" I fiddled around with it for a little, and got it to work. It worked for almost 2 weeks, now it doesn't work again... Would I be able to take it back to Walmart and get a new one? Without the receipt? I've had a couple people tell me they'll give me a new one, even though I don't have the receipt. Can someone please tell me if I can, and how...

You're first mistake was buying ANOTHER CoD game.

Second mistake was buying it from Wal-Mart.

I doubt you'll get anything without a receipt.

It's probably your 360's DVD drive packing in, not a problem with the disc. Unless the disc is scratched or something...

You may if you are pushy enough be able to get a new copy of the same game but without a receipt you are going to find that hard to do

I would say it was a gift and it was gotten from that store, but you are out of touch with the one that got you the gift (out of town whatever you want to tell em, but they told you they got the game from wall-mart)

Managed this at ASDA in the past (it's the UK name for Wall-Mart) you end up giving them a signature and what your name and address is ect just to say you returned an item but if they see it is scratched they may not take the item back after all that

Personly nowerdays I will not use ASDA for games unless they are sealed as they tend to take the disc out and pop it in a card pack that scratches the discs, not always obvious either
