This could be an interesting one.
Since I absolutely love the series, and hoping to get a grip on the books soon, I hope this adaption will work and be decent game-fication of a popular franchise.

Too bad no gameplay is trailed, but I hope for the best.

Could work, but be wary for it being a cheap cash-in of its current popularity. Many of those games are made, as we all know.

The video game rights were optioned in 2009. The next game in the series is going to be an RPG, and George R.R. Martin has a producer-type role in both (I think he said something about how he was going to make sure that they were going to be good).

    Spoiler warning:

I have just finished the second book and loved the HBO adaption however I have very little interest in an RTS of games of thrones. I would love to see a well made RPG as Alakazander as mentioned. Especially if you could a character from any house, choose whether to be good/evil and we know the world map is already huge without going north of the wall.

Surprised Bethesda didn't snap this up and just re-skin the fallout/oblivion maps.

You're right Cyanide is a somewhat... odd choice of developer. I had heard of their "Manager" series, but apparently they have made a couple of RTS and RPG games as well (none of which I have ever heard of). I think it is so Martin can have a more active role in the actual construction of the game but, .
