i just soft moded my ps2 what i do now

i modded my ps2 but none of the disks are working i see the mod in the t.v and it loads 1 time and then a second time it loads but never get to play the game

If it loads up to Free Memory Card Boot and you have an ESR option every time there is nothing wrong with your memory card/files.

Sounds like your PS2 laser is crappy, or Ashampoo is terrible at burning games. I use ImgBurn.

ok thanks for the help but now i need help with something else with the same ps2 why my ps2 wont play codebraker
since i moded my ps2 it dont wanna take the disk and and how can i make back up copys of my codebaker for my friends

Make a folder named BOOT on the root of the memory stick and put the files inside that folder.

Codebreaker has to be patched for it to work with freeMCboot, and depending on which version you have, you need a different patch for each version of codebreaker. Now you can get codebreaker to work without patching it if you hot-swap a real disk with the burned one. The same thing also works for AR-MAX, to my knowledge it doesn't have a patch that lets you load burned games, but sometimes you find codes for one that aren't on the other.

Which version of Codebreaker do you have?

Why not just download a pre-patched version of codebreaker?

Just to add correct info

Codebreaker can't be ESR patched, it can be booted if converted to DVD then patched but it won't work as a cheat device

You can however use the Codebreaker executable file from a USB stick, we have one on the forum already and believe the OP has this

But if you want to search on google you want to look for Codbeaker.elf or cb.elf

Booted from USB it will be fully functional and you won't have the hassle of changing round discs

You also need to config freemcboot to read from the USB stick, info is in the guide that was linked before, if you don't do this it won't do anything.

If done correctly, as soon as you pop in a PS2 ESR patched game it will boot up Codebreaker, alternativly you can set it up to be listed on the PS2 GUI as a selectable option
