    Default n64 emulator problems..

i have an old pentium3 450mhz in my bedroom and have basically been using it just for emulators and stuff.

the only one i cant get running is an n64 emulator.
i have tried 1964 and project64 with the glide64 plugin and it gives me 3 errors:
    Glide3x warning

your video card doesn't support GL_ARB_texture_env_combine extension

Your video card doesnt support GL_ARB_multitexture extension

Your video card doesnt support GL_ARB_texture_mirrored_repeat extension

    i have a 3dfx voodoo3

    any suggestions?

Don't use it for N64 emulation

I know it's not that answer you wanted but basicly your PC is too underpowered for N64 emulation, except maybe one called corn thats ok for Super Mario 64 on older systems, but then again thats all it can run just about.... (P.S. there is a good little N64 copy port of DooM using the level layout monsters and everything from DooM64 made for PC, PC DooM required, don't remember what DooM Wad though thats needed there are 5 in total)

Your machine is ok for PSX though with ePSXe but some games will run beter with CVGS

Saturn isn't good on any machine, don't bother with Dreamcast either not that the emulation is that bad but it requires a high end PC to run

nes, snes, mastersystem, gamegear, genesis and sega cd should be ok for you aswell

    Sega 32X won't be good

Nec PC engine should be fine on your system also

Nec PC 98 will be ok to certain extent and Sharp X68000 should be fine also

8 bit computers...most should run smooth for you

Amiga should actually run ok for you for alot of games, not every game but alot of them and Atari ST should be alright aswell

Default Add some more RAM and buy another Video card

Basically your video card does not support some of the functions that the emulator is asking for ( specifically Glide or OpenGL). And since your system is kinda old, if you add some more ram it could possibly make it run more efficient. As for the video card, a 64mb video card ought to do the trick, but I recommend at least a 128 mb card for any emulation of P64. Its probably AGP but check to make sure!
Just smile and nod, thats the secret to a happy relationship.

    I had a GeForce2 128MB (Forgot the exact stats for that card) - PIII 450 - 512 MB ram - Win98

N64 wasn't worth it, it would not run smooth on that system

Buy a total new system if your going to bother buying anything, just keep the older system for what it can handle

I'm going to say that this is borderline workable for at least a few games, things like PD/Goldeneye will probably be unplayable though. The Voodoo 3 card in this instance definately helps.

If you have a Glide3x.dll in the 1964 folder, then try moving it into the recycle bin (basically somewhere on your system that it won't try to access). My guess is you are somehow using a wrapper to translate the Glide calls into GL which you don't actually need to use.

Drivers installed may also be an issue.

I don't know if these will work on your system, but since they're all N64 emulators from 2000, 2001, or older (except Mupen64) they might run on your PIII 450.

    Blade64
    Corn
    Daedalus
    Daedalus-Lkb
    Mupen64
    SupraHLE
    TR64
    TRWin
    UltraHLE
    UltraHLE 2064

Of course, since they're all old and all except Mupen64 have been discontinued, they can only play a relatively small number of games (compared to what Nemu64, PJ64 and 1964 can play)

You can download them from these sites:
