Hey guys, im new to this and i would like to play some of my favorites so i downloaded xenogears disc 1, the 8 parts (about 353 Mb) but i dont know what to do to play it, my emulator is epsxe160 with P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.17 video plug in,ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2. audio plug in, ePSXe CDR ASPI core 1.5.2. cdroom plugin and bios\scph1001.bin bios, im runing it from windows me with pentium intell 3 processor running at 1.5 ghz) 250 mb ram using intell graphics accelerator, i hope you guys can help me thanks

extract the files from the archive, configure your ePSXe then file>open iso on ePSXe and you are done.
if you have all of the parts for cd 1 then double click the first part and extract it whereever you want.
is this what you ask or are you haing problems with the game cuz xenogears is not perfectly emulated yet...

You need to have WinRar to extract the ISO from the split rar files.
(it will also automatically combine them during the extraction process)

If you've already extracted the ISO inside the rar parts, but the ISO wouldn't work in ePSXe, it could be because the ISO is in a format that ePSXe doesn't support yet, like mds/mdf, or cdi.

I have a copy of Xenogears that's in cdi format, and the only way I can play it in ePSXe is to use Daemon Tools.

Download DAEMON Tools 3.47 from here (it's free): http://www.daemon-tools.cc/
Make sure you download 3.47, and not the newer one.

First, install and configure Daemon Tools to create a virtual drive on your computer. After doing that you should see a small icon in your system tray that looks like a lightning bolt. Right-click on that lightning bolt, choose "Options", and make sure there's a check mark next to "Analog Audio". <--- very important

Now this time left-click the lightning bolt icon, and click where it says "Device #: [ *: ] No Media", then choose either the .ccd, .mds, .cdi, or .cue file by double-clicking it.
#: will be a number like 0:
[ *: ] will be a letter like [ H: ]

Now Double-click My Computer, and you should see your new virtual drive. It's letter will be the same as the letter for[*]. If you want, you can double-click the virtual drive to open it, and see all the files in the ISO. But that's not necessary.

Now open ePSXe by double-clicking it, and click Config > Cdrom > Configure. Then, for the option of selecting which drive, choose your new Daemon Tools virtual drive (It's the one named Generic DVD-ROM).

Now you're ready to play the game.
For ePSXe, go to File > Run CDROM.
And your game should start.

thanks guys i did everything, i downloaded daemon tools 3.45 and winrar, but now i have a problem, i cant xtract the files cuz it says pw incorrect, but the password is: File by emuparadise.org and i cant get it to work

Did you try capitalizing the correct letters in the password? The password is case sensative.

Just copy and paste the password, then you can't make mistakes.

I did copy paste it from the very first time and i did with the one you pasted but im still geting the same problem i have an error msg it says Error of CRC (�incorrect pasword?)

CRC errors usually imply that the file was corrupted while transfering.

I'm not sure, but maybe you left a space at the end after you pasted it. I think most likely though that one of the files you downloaded is corrupt or didn't finish downloading.

The files are 50MB Chunks, plus 3MB for the last file!

Make sure the files match the size mentioned on the download page, if not you need to re-download the file/files that don't match up.

Make sure you have the newest version of WinRAR 3.51.

Does the error you get mention the password specifically?

you know, i guess the files are corrupted, the size was 50 mb, but must of my files are 650 kb even tho i downloaded the 50 mb, the whole file,well i dont know what to do to get the full download, thx guys

thanks, i downloaded the first part of cd1 and i only got 1,86 mb

The parts are larger than that.

If you have a firewall or anti-virus program installed on your comp, or your modem/router has a built-in firewall, that may be interfering with your downloads.
Or you may have spyware/viruses/trojans etc. on your comp that is causing this.
Or there could be something wrong with your connection, or it's settings.
Or...geez, without knowing more details, there are so many possible reasons that could be causing this.

You know I was having a similar problem like two weeks ago with my disk 1, the only problem i have is that I only have 2 parts of a broken disk 2 download. Anyone have the addresses for every Xenosago disk 2 file?
