Final Fantasy 9 problem

Hi, i have a damn problem with my FFIX ISO CD1.

My PSX emulator *i'm using is the ePSXe 1.6.0* and i'm using a Pentium 2.The video plugin i'm using is the P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.17.

My configuerations is the nice setting.The FFIX file is an .nrg file. So if anyone can tell me the problem and tell me how to fix it i'll be truly grateful.

oops forgot.. Well I start to run the ISO and nothing appears just a dumb black screen

Are you tryint to play the PAL (E) version?

It needs patches to bypass anti mod protection then

you may also need to mount the nrg with daemon tools and use Run CDROM (I'm sure ePSXe can't read nrg files)

or you can create a bin+cue with ISOBuster that can be run directly in ePSXe from Run ISO

Calm down Evens and I have played FFIX start to end with 1.6.0 also I know what the problem is and how to fix it anyway

Using ISOBuster.. open your nrg file with ISOBuster right click on CD then move your mouse over Extract CD then move your mouse to RAW (*.bin, *.iso) and click it, give the *.bin a filename and click on Save

If you are stuggling to get it running at a good speed there is a much faster emulator around for runnings on older PC's, but it is made for win98 systems but can be patched, I'll go into all that though if needed

I'm not trying to "take this away from you", not at all.

I was just wondering how he could run such a game on the ePSXe at 300 MHz.
Can't he use VGS? Wouldn't that work better?

Yeah, I guess that's what you're refering to, an emu for us computer performances challenged people.
A shame that there aren't that much things to be tinkered with in the options. Oh, also, what's the name of that program you can use to modify memory cards on your PC to another format?
