    Default FF7 crashing

    Can anyone help with a problem I have. I am playing FF7 with ePSXe v1.60 emulator and it crashes when I start the sequence of battles at the Gold Saucer while trying to get the keystone. Here are my setting and the message that I get when it crashes, oh yeah I've tried ePSXe v1.52 and get the same message.

    The problem is that you have a bad CD image.

    Changing plugins or plugin settings will not help you out of this.

    Your best option is to get a new CD Image

    Playing in CVGS to get past that part may help as it can handle those errors a little beter than ePSXe

    I have a problem with FF7, too. I'm using ePSXe 1.6.0 and when I entered the first random encounter there was a message window saying Data error, Scene 303 / Code: 38, press L1 + R1 + Select to restart. Is my image faulty, too?

    Copy & paste the links (hxxp and everything after it) into your address bar in your browser (where you type in website addresses), then click go.

    Internet explorer doesn't need them changed, it does that itself, but I should have mentioned that incase he's using a different browser.

    I'll not say most but alot of us use FireFox instead (different users have different reasons) or use a Download manager to be able to resume downloading it the download is cut off for any reason (this also depends on the user)

    when i try and extract these with winrar it says they are corrupt, also it says unexpected end of archive. i have tried 2 times with both ff7 disc 1 and ff8 disc 1.

    You have either not downloaded all the parts or one of them hasn't fully downloaded

    Never had that error myself it is worth scanning your image with CDMage though and check if it has errors (should report error free and has no errors that are suposed to be there)

    Hmm... I just scanned it with CDMage and it found no errors... Then I tried to play the game with ePSXe 1.5.2 and it worked. Is there any way to get it work with 1.6.0 ?
