The .rdb is the per game instructions that the emulator needs. Basically saves the user a lot of hassle messing about with PJ64 core settings (not the same as plugin settings).

    Latest version definately recommended.

As for the rest, depends what games you plan on playing and the system you are using.

A quick forum search is worth using sometimes

Del_Boy is the N64 master though so there may be more info he can give you specially as thats from an oldish post and plugins and so on have most likley been updated

Good quote from Zorlon, that's pretty much what I would have repeated, PJ64 has some issues with the game.

Still need to know your system specs.

    /Edit

Banjo Kazooie should be ok actually in PJ64, Banjo Tooie definately use 1964 for the moment.

    *ahem*

The best place to get ROMs or ISOs for emulators is right here, at emuparadise.org. I don't wanna sound like a marketing whore, but it's seriously true in this case. No porn or viruses, and MasJ is getting a high-speed server very soon. However, for the ISOs, the BT tracker is the place to go. I'm sure there's a BT guide around here somewhere...

    Hmm.. whatever.
I myself would recommend http://www.romhustler.org/ for your N64 ROM needs.

N64 emulation is a bit of a pain because there isn't one Emulator/GPU plugin that is best for everything

Yeah 1964 + Jabos Plugin = Banjo Tooie's best option
