Default GameCube Emulator: Dolphin - Final beta released

It's a beta, so of course it's still buggy as hell.
And it still can't play alot of games.
And the ones it can play will still run slow.
But, some of you like to fool around with these next-gen emulators.
    So here you go:

I'll have to check this out. I still have a big stack of GC ISOs from when I had my streaming setup. Might finally come in handy again

    Thank you!

Can you play the Resident Evil games with it?
For me only those are worth buying a GameCube. :eyeball:

If I could I'd spank you for saying that c'mon there are more good games for the cube than the RE games.

Anyways, I want to check the beta myself, will have to look for my backups.

Shame I don't have my gamecube backups to hand

    lol Metal Gear Remake

ok Nintendo have some of there own greats like Animal Crosing the whole Zelda collection, Star Fox, Metroid and a few others, I actually own these anyway though

Oh another Nintendo Emu breakthrough is upon us aswell soon hopefully in the form of DS emulation this time with iDeaS (The screens are from the yet to be released version not the current version)

Cool. I've been playing the old "final release" for quite a while. I'm fed up of playing Zelda wind waker and super smash bros. melee at 5-10 fps.

I really really hope this one plays Final fantasy CC, and Lost kingdoms I & II. Those are some of my all time greats (behind PSO of course)

From the few games I tried, it still runs like crap. Updated my thread already though

I found the following numbers seen in those screenshots to be especially encouraging: 26 fps, 32 fps and most of all 38 fps

Hmm... but with what games :wakco:

Some games work at 60 fps with the old release and some at 30. In - game the games would normaly go slow, on some movie's and such the fps whould go mad speeds like 300 fps.

I really should test this emu when I have time, I love GC emulating!

He's talking about the DS emu iDeaS with the games Castlevania and Trauma Center

For the GC emu you might be able to speed things up a bit by disabling either in the emu or in the iso/gcm images the sound

Personly I like my GC for playing backups from DVD, because I can lol

I edited in a small note on what may boost the speed in some games though in the emulation of GC games, it's actually a little trick I used for some games when I used to stream games to my GC.

To do that instead of removing the sound files you just rename them, then they are no longer read, some FMV may also crash it, so you can also rename FMV files.

I can't play back ups atm.

The way I speed up NGC emulating is using the dynaric core. Though not all games work with it It definatly does speed up alot of games.

Disabling the sound I have not tired. Thanks for the info
