Default Question about FF9 Disc 1 image

Ok, I've just downloaded the disc 1 image of FF9, and it works perfectly, but the problerm I have is that I want to save it in a CD as I did with all the images from FF7. The thing is, that this FF9 image is a .bin file, and the CD burner program I use (I dunno if I can say the name) doesn't support this kind of format (I think the FF7 images were .img). I also tried to save directly the image of FF9 to the disc, but it's 722 Mb (my disc reach 700 mb). So, my question is, is there a way to convert this .bin into a .img or something, or should I find a disc with enough capacity to contain the image itself?

cd images (bin/img) are ALWAYS bigger on hdd than on the actual CD. it will fit fine on a 700MB CD. You're probably using clonecd to burn your .img

Nero, CDRwin and Alcohol120% support the bin/cue format. just select the .cue and it will burn fine.
If you don't want to download those programs, at least have daemontools and mount the cue to make a fake CD drive of the CD on your hdd and use cloneCD's CD copy option to copy from fake drive to your burner drive

don't those programs only convert to .iso format?

either way, converting isn't necessary. daemon is the one program everybody must have anyway

The reason Myst said don't convert with those is because they corrupt PSX XA sound and STR movie data (those are stored in other files aswell as xa and str)

bin/cue is the most compatable CD Image anyway if it is missing a cue sheet though (thankfully that game does not use CDDA tracks) you can create a new cue sheet to burn from if needs be

OK, I thank you for the help. First of all, I tried Alcohol 120%, and although I did a CD from the image, it didn't worked on the emulator. Which DID worked was UltraISO, the thing is that I had to create a NRG image (which didn't worked on the emulator either) and then re-create a .bin file (and then the .cue appeared, which it seems is the file I was missing) that allowed me to succesfully create a CD using Nero, and now the game works
    Anyway, Thanx a lot!
