Well, you can use PEC (Playstation Emulator Cheater) to cheat in epsxe and Virtual Gamestation.

Here is a link to the official homepage....

    http://www.emucheater.com/

I have used it, and its AWESOME. The Library of PSone game cheats is SO EXTENSIVE and also just in case if you can't find any cheats for YOUR game, you can always tell it to "import" cheats from CMGSCCC website.

    Enjoy!!!

Edit: Lol, I guess my reply wasn't fast enough

    Far far far too slow

Don't you just hate it when that happens lol

Personly I make my own codes and do a far greater job of it

Anyone can create there own codes with PEC aswell so even if a code does not exist at all you can always try using the built in code search engine.

I never understood the need to cheat. Whats the fun of a game where you play with a character maxxxed out in stats for example.

The most I'd use it for is graphical tricks like swapping models. ^^

well i have recently ran into a problem with pec tryin to load cheats up in vgs, and for some reason it doesnt input the codes. so i had found a werk around that would allow me to swap mem cards with vgs to epsxe and vise versa. wut i did was convert the .mem card to .mrc then load the cheats up with epsxe then save, then reconvert back to .mem to load the save with cheats up in vgs. seems to werk for most the cheats i want to use like max money ect. ect.

that is just a tip if anyone has problems loading cheats into vgs, i know it isnt me cause i have used it before without no probs, i believe this is a bugg to do with win xp sp2.

Yup, he means it. You ever used ZSNES's built in cheat system ?? Its actually just like that. You can make PEC search for changed values in the game's memory and you can guide it. For example, you can tell PEC when your character's health went down and then PEC will make a search for the changed values in game's memory. Every time, the health gets decreased or changed, PEC will search for changed values and will narrow it down to the actual code/value of your character's health and then you can tell PEC to set that value to "infinite" and thereby creating INFINITE HEALTH for your character.

Am sure if you try it out yourself and read PEC's help file, you will be able to understand it more properly

I don't know about others but I cheat in a game to get the MAX outta it. I usually use cheats after I have finished the game (sometimes may be a couple of times) and I want to "EXTRACT" more fun outta it. Sometimes, gameshark can make it MORE FUN....

Well, connecting the gameshark to the computer won't help. PEC (playstation emulation cheater) is having loads and loads of game cheats already built into it. But even though you want to ADD YOUR OWN cheats and you found them on any other website, you can use a program called pecedit. This little utility is used to edit the cheats database of the actual PEC itself. Pecedit will also allow you to "import" cheats from an HTML webpage. So if you found cheat codes from a website for example the official gameshark homepage (although they don't host psone cheats anymore) or CMGSCCC, you can copy the link of the page that is having the cheats you wanna add and then run Pecedit and click "import from HTML (Online)" and paste that link in it and then click import. It will automatically import the cheats and update the PEC cheats database and then you don't have to actually input them by hand.

If they are your personal cheats, then I think you'll have to input them by hand but I am sure they would be worth it.

    You can get Pecedit here....

    http://www.aldostools.com/pecedit.html

Also, don't forget to read the Help file. Am sure it will be able to guide you more properly.

Hope this info helps you out dude

    Enjoy!!!

I've done both, if it's not alrady there I make em from scratch and most the codes I have made are not imported, but some are partially imported I just make them work beter, for example instead of changing the health in an RPG to a static 99999 I would change that to copy the max heath to the current health so you can still build yourself at a normal rate

Here is a lil sample of a home made code
    #Castlevania: Symphony of the Night#SLES-00524
    "Map Effects\Drawbridge Trapdoor Open
    D0097980 0300
    30181104 0001
    D0097980 0303
    30181104 0001
    D0097980 0301
    30181104 0001
    D0097980 0101
    30181104 0001
    D0097980 0103
    30181104 0001
    D0097980 0100
    30181104 0001
.Trapdoor opens after you aquire the Leap Stone

The Drawbridge Trapdoor usually only opens for Richter's game, you need the leap stone to get back out of that area thats why I made it only activate after you aquire it

This is a code I modified to work a lil beter
    "Alucard\Familiars\Japanese Faerie Replaces Faerie
    E0097988 0003
    3009798B 0003
    E0097988 0003
    30097988 0001
    D006CBCC 0003
    8006CBCC 0006
.Switching Faerie Card On, activates code
    "Alucard\Familiars\Faerie Levels = Japanese Faerie
    C2097C90 0002
    80097C6C 0000
    C2097C94 0002
    80097C70 0000
.For use with Japanese Faerie Replaces Faerie code
.This code makes the Faerie level up at the same rate as the Japanese Faerie

Anotherwords the code is designed so you don't have to turn it off to use one of the other familiars, it's all automated, plus it doesn't just give you the faerie you still have to gain that normally in the game

I just take full advantage of the activator codes

I also could have made the Jap Familiars active through a buton press on pad 2 even though the game only uses one pad (There was a complication though doing it that way as you could get the Jap familiars before the normal ones then)

For PEC I just edit the big codelist.inf in Notpad it's 100 times quicker than pecedit but if you can't figure out the format to put the codes in pecedit would come in handy

I also was playing Driver in Newcastle before the codes went up for that game, at the time I was using the Action Replay v3.xx that has a great lil code search engine, other codes I made are things like gaining all the extras in FFVIII that you could only do normally with a Pocket Station, I even made the Chocobo summon level up that was also only possible with the Pocket Station, something I will have to redo at some point, this time for the US PSX version

As you can tell from the above examples I use the cheat system to do a lil more than cheating or Y pos fixing and copy protection get arounds

Yeah well... ... that maybe unbelievably ridiculously amazing but... I don't even need cheats because I can write binary on the fly! At a rate of 12Tb/s. With my mind
