    Default Some ripping questions.

I have a bunch of PSX games that I would like to rip, and in searching for a guide, I have come across information regarding .cue files and patches for copy protected games.

Sorry for asking what is probably a really retarded question, but if you're ripping PSX games with Alcohol 120% (Version 1.9.2, build 1705.) are the .cue files and patches necessary?

don't worry about any patches or cue files just make sure you let people know the files are in Alcohol format. If people don't have alcohol 120% it's pretty easy to convert them to bin/cue format with programs such as isobuster.

You can create bin/cue format files with Alcohol 120%, actually can someone tell Hentai Kamen how to do that for me please. (I don't use Alcohol 120% myself)

Yeah it is easy with ISOBuster but not everyone knows how, every now and then there is a question on how to use mds/mdf files.

You could just use ISOBuster to rip in the first place though I went through how to do that at http://forums.emuparadise.org/showthread.php?t=31058

I'll write a guide later about this.
    So shortly:
    Open Alcohol 120%
Select Image Making Wizard at the left.
In the CD/DVD device box choose your drive, don't click next.
In the datatype box, choose Normal CD, now click next.
Choose where you want to save your Image and what name you want it to have.
In the Image format box choose CDRWIN Image File.
Click Start, wait, and bingo you got yourself a CUE+BIN image.

Thank you very much for the guide. I just have two questions.

    1. In the Image Making Wizard, should I check any of the available options? (The ones that you are able to select when Normal CD is selected are Skip Reading Errors, Read Sub-Channel Data from Current Disc, and Data Position Measurement (Precision: Normal)

    2. Are there any other options that need to be checked/unchecked?

    Thanks everyone.
