I played StarTropics for four hours yesterday soaking in the nostalgia. That's what emulation is for. The thread I made about modernized retro games is that back in prehistoric times that's what I imagined the pixel I was moving around a TV screen were according to the art on the cover. I'd like to do that Adventure game for Atari 2600, epic imagination of what 8 pixels moving around the screen are.

I think this is a first, a depiction of whatever the hell Adventure for Atari 2600 was supposed to be in modernized retro graphics. It's quite an achievement to take nothing and turn it into something. Who said you can't polish a turd?

I hate time changes. The fall one is easily worse than the spring one. I do not get an extra hour of sleep, my body wouldn't allow that. I get a day that's an hour longer which makes me tired, and a pointless disruption to my sleep cycle which makes me tired again. Why do we do this?
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Yeah I'm sick of changing to DST and back again. It always fucks me up for weeks.
    It's fucking pointless imo.

I could move up north where it doesn't exist but it's so tropical up there I can't stand the humid heat all year round. I could also move completely over to the west, but yeah it's too hot over there most of the time as well (it is drier though).
I wish they would get rid of it in this state.

I know how you feel. I was up before 1:30am I slept like crap sat night(I normally do anyway)I forgot to set my clock back the night before then remembered that the time change was set for 2am that shit threw me off all day.
yeah I don't get why we have to still do this time change crap anymore it's not like being in different time zones that I at least get.

You know what I want? An emulation holodeck room so I can play Yars' Revenge emulated to the point it's 200% more real and controlled by hand gestures.

decided to check out deadcore today it's not the sci-fi fps I was led to believe it was. it's kinda like portal I never got very far into portal so I don't know how the game is later on. Deadcore is basically a first person puzzle platformer with an energy gun to solve puzzles.
I'm not sure what to think of it so far.

Puzzles are fun when they're not too repetitive because then its genre becomes puzzle game. Some games try to be every genre at once but should specialize in one predominance with a secondary type of game blended in so that it fits a genre niche. For example, FPS RPG like Fallout is not a platformer puzzle game too. Three or more genres combined make a game's genre convoluted.
